Hey /mu/, we need an idea for our next photoshoot. We're a female fronted heavy rock band similar to pic related. Post cool pics of female fronted rock bands plox.
Here ya go. You be the judge. We are a professional, national touring act. We're writing a new album and trying to get some new promo material. Hope you like it.
Isn't that everybody?
The laughing/joking might be cool since we tend to look serious like every other fucking band always does. Thanks, anon. All ideas are welcome!
Right. I that read wrong.
What do you guys think of themed shots? Like Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland? Just brain storming here.
A little overproduced/uninspired sound. But it's not bad, and there's an audience for it for sure....
I feel like you guys should look into more of an Brand New/ Say Anything route.
its just really unoriginal and boring, maybe you should have an unoriginal and boring photo. Maybe all the dudes cock their heads back and stare down their noses while the girl squeezes her tits together like a crackwhore
>generic post-hardcore/metalcore band with a female singer to sell records
You would be nowhere without the chick in the band. No one would care about you, no one would listen to your records. I hope you know that.
holy shit this is bad
that guitar sounds fucking awful
i'm doing this in real time
her voice sounds like it's been processed through 5 computers (inb4 no autotune, i'm not referring to autotune)
whoever produced this video should go back to whatever community college he got a video production degree from and return the degree
I don't even feel like commenting on the lyrics is worth it
I do appreciate these suggestions I'm gonna check out these artists. Thanks guise.
Hmmmmm. It's like Industrial Flyleaf.
I might listen again.
Obv I know creep, great song. I love Kid A. If you have two stereos and start the record on one and about 15 sec later start it on the other system it's like a whole new album. Anyway, I'll have to check out the other 2. Thanks.
We did this one before which I really liked, but obv can't do the same thing again.
It's too be expected. I got thick skin.
Well I tell you, I sure would appreciate it.
gotta have that harsh lighting, though. maybe something like pic related.
I would never join a band with a female lead singer, you know its only a matter of time before the jews get to her and she goes full gwen stefani or paramore and abandons the band to become a slut pop star
First off, I liked it. Your singer is very good.
Frankenstein - Liked, I'd like to hear more experimentation with this Industrial Metal sound.
Fun House - Didn't much care for the repetitive guitar solo in the middle.
Marionette - starts out kind of hair metalish - but then get's all industrial. Which I loved.
Your Demise - Probably mu least favorite - too radio metal for me.
Bitter End - I liked this one. Loved that machine gun drumming. Drummer or Machine?
I don't like the metally riffing. I'd rather hear some high/low guitar squeals, like Prong or something like that. Would be cool.
All in all pretty impressed. Like I said would listen to again.
And Stitched Up Heart ... good name.
Yeah I thought about just the faces in black. Like this maybe?
Also if you join a band with a hot female lead singer then you become just an after thought.
You got to jack white this shit and force her o play drums while her tits bounce around and you sing lead.
Nice. Thank you! Yeah Your Demise is def the radio friendly one. Although they suggested we take out the word heroin. We told them to suck it. Fun House seems to be a crowd fav, I think it's the dance beat. And we love the industrial sound. It's so fun to play. It's all my drumming but they replaced the sounds with samples. I appreciate the critique.
I've played in ?8 female fronted bands. Maybe more Jesus, I've played in a shit ton of bands. I don't mind being over shadowed. I'm not the front person anyway. And I'm not worried about Mixi going solo cause that's how she started. She was on Geffen solo after winning Redemption Song on Fuse tv. She much prefers playing in a rock band to the poppy solo stuff.
Haha, well it seems that we have a pretty wide demographic. Lots of kids middle and high school. College kids who actually listen to us like us. Twenty somethings may be one of our smallest groups. Then 30-50 year olds seem to love us. Esp bikers. And when someone's kids like us, the whole family always does. Obv I think we kind of miss the mark for most old people. But still have some here and there.
That's cool. I've never seen that show. Yeah we're throwing around the with burning idea. I think we have a location for it. Just trying to figure out how to make the stake. Just do a ladder? And then what are the other 3 of us doing? It's a cool idea tho.
I do love the perks. Seems to be more redheads these days tho.
what i liked about that intro (and the season itself) was that it's creepy and dark but still pretty feminine which is a cool contrast. usually when people are going for that kind of thing they try to make the girl really edgy and aggressive and dark, whereas coven and the intro was more like normal femininity surrounded by a dark setting instead of trying to mash the two together.
Ooh! Good idea. Hmm, I had suggested Addams family but that was voted out. (I know it's not horror). But... maybe the Ring, or ummm, hmm are there any slasher flicks with a female slasher?
Maybe recreate this image but with the other three in the background?
Thank you much! There's more on our website if you wanna have a listen.
Ask a music related question on a music board?
Jeeze you guys use 4chan a lot.. i remember seeing you guys on /b/ ... i'm into your whole scene, but the production of your music sucks ass and minxy or whatever your singers name is can't sing.
the jodie foster thing with the vox is irritating.
the rest is pretty standard.
i don't hate it, but i'm not feeling it either. it feels like you know where you want to go with it but it hasn't quite fully evolved yet. maybe the middle of the road between synthed-out hard rock and breakdown-town metalcore isn't where you want to be?
i mean if you can make a living doing this, by all means make your paper and go as big as you can.
if i'm going to listen to synth-plus-breakdown music with processed vox i'd rather listen to I, Valiance purely because i prefer it more on the heavy side.
Her voice sounds terrible tbh. I would get rid of the effects, or whatever those are, and just let it all natural. The rest is not that bad, it sounds just like any other band in that genre.
In this case, I'm happy to thwart your plans.
