Wouldnt it include the new album if it were
But in all seriousness the whole "genre" is just worshipping his work, he's basically the only good artist in the genre

The whole genre is shit

That guy wasn't me, but I think you should consider putting Beneath The Burning Hands Of God on the top line of that chart and move one of the other three that aren't Weak Waves down to the next one.

Make your own chart and share it with us. :)

I can remake the original one into a new updated one if you want? Not right now, but I'll inbox you on Reddit when I get around to it and we can figure it out together (assuming you're Shanoxtl)

Sure!

>"Zhutchka is superior to The Beatles and the Rolling Stones in every way"
Also, did you guys think the "new" versions of the tracks sounded any different?
>>51299456
Did you notice any difference?
>>51299474
I listened to it with headphones and I actually think it did sound more clear, especially in the clean parts. Still lo-fi, but less muddy.

>>51299555
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
>>51299607
A good thing.
iirc he said that he tried to convert the songs to that A=432 tuning by pitch-shifting everything, which made them sound like shit.
I'm guessing that these are the 440 versions before they were shifted.
>>51299456
I re-downloaded it, basically what Mr. Trips >>51299555 said, not a huge difference but it does sound better. lunar was the only song that really suffered from whatever the problem was.

is that what it says on the cover? It looks like there are more spaces or something
>>51300776
That's the bottom of the cover. I don't know the top.
You literally just copy/pasted the FAQ I made for vaporwave but changed it to oceangrunge. I fucking hate you
>>51294821
that's funny, i dislike sea of dogs
although honestly there's like only a couple oceangrunge artists i like
>>51300965
Okay.
>>51301020
Sea of Dogs is the definitive sound of oceangrunge. :(
>oceangrunge
And here i am still listening to vaporwave
god bless this age of disposable music
>>51301064
i like poseidon in chains and dj rozwell but i realize rozwell is barely fringe-oceangrunge. i like the idea of the genre, though. it's something i could really get into.
>>51301091
That's rude. >>>/b/
>>51301098
I too love the idea of the genre. That's why I promote it. If we can get more people interested in making some, it might soon be worthy of its name.
Personally, I'd like for it to blend seapunk and grunge.
>>51300621
>mfw people still post my shit
I wish I could make more music, but I haven't had time this entire semester. Maybe I can bang out a few tracks over the holidays.
I wish we had IDs instead of "unique posters". The amount of shilling in these threads is unreal.
>>51301456
who's shilling? people are just posting their albums you fucking retard, who gives a shit?
>>51301478
>9 unique posters
>49 replies
>>51301383
Please do!
>>51301456
Who gives a fuck?
I hope this shit is a joke.
All this oceangrunge shit just looks and sounds gimmicky and pretentious as fuck. It sounds like any other typical noise/ambient genre with the ocean philosophy/imagery tagged onto it to seem intellectual. Not to mention the core concept of the genre is nothing new.
>>51301591
Okay.

>>51301632
>mfw SNAIL QUEER
>>51301632
What you posted actually got me into this genre. Whatever that Poseidon in chains bullshit was sounded like a bunch of ocean and ambient sounds.
>>51301632
>http://djrozwell.bandcamp.com/album/sludge-dredd
If that's meant to change my mind, it sounds completely different from every other bandcamp I've checked out in this thread. Like MF DOOM teamed up with Merzbow. I wouldn't even consider it the same genre.
>>51301664
I giggled.
>>51301773
People are conflicted about Poseidon in Chains. Some think he is essential to the genre while others ignore his albums.
>>51301807
Personally, I don't think he fits oceangrunge but he is a cool guy and mentioning him gets more people involved with the genre.
>>51293439
I remember when there was only two oceangrunge albums on bandcamp. It is neat to see more and more threads on this topic.
>>51302113
The genre has come a long way. I hope we can ride the upcoming grunge revival and introduce alternative rock fans to oceangrunge.

>Like MF DOOM teamed up with Merzbow
that's probably the way i'll describe that album to people from now on.
>>51301900
yeah, i've chatted with him in a few bandcamp threads, he's nice as shit and really humble. it's neat that's sort of becoming gateway oceangrunge.
I think there's room for both what I call the Sea Of Dogs style and the Poseidon in Chains style in oceangrunge. Both of us are the artists who started this genre, albeit in kind of different directions and at different times and with different goals in mind. But it is through the influence of both of us as well as the hard work of Shanoxilt in which the scene has blossomed, I believe.
We don't want this scene to turn into the elitist cesspool that is the vaporwave scene, to deny one style of the music as not being true oceangrunge would be foolish.
