/mu/, I just got the comfiest job ever.
On a Sunday I am the sole employee in a used bookstore, which is pretty quiet these days even on the weekend. I don't have much to do, and I'm supposed to play music throughout the store. It can be whatever I want provided it's bookstorish.
What would you recommend to play?
So far I can think of:
If I walked into a bookstore, I would like to hear these albums playing:
Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Spirit of Eden
Frigid Stars LP
Red House Painters (Rollercoaster)
Transient Random Noise Bursts
Happy / Sad
And Then Nothing
Also lots of jazz records I don't want to make this post too long
Anything by guys like Akira Kosemura or Takagi Masakatsu, that nice breezy folktronica stuff puts out a really light and chill vibe. Maybe some I am Robot and Proud.
Acoustic French covers of Bowie from the movie "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou".
People will walk in and each time they hear a little pop ir fuzzy noise they'll just and look around, and then cautiously go back to browsing until it happens again
Gotta turn it up loud though
Imagine if a qt walked up and started acting all confused about ur lowercase n stuff and you just giggle and playfully called her a pleb and then got her number
i want a confused pleb qt ;~;
