"Where u at?" edition
It's true. I know there used to be some clubs and some record stores in NYC that catered to DnB/Jungle and UK Garage in the late 90s/early 00s, but those all died out about 10 years ago.
yeah, i'm all for people listening to it and enjoying it. it's just that isn't it depressing knowing that all this music you like, ur essentially listening to it "wrong"? like, that ur not experiencing it in its intended format?
>it's just that isn't it depressing knowing that all this music you like, ur essentially listening to it "wrong"? like, that ur not experiencing it in its intended format?
this is good bait.
does sound a bit baity yeah, but i'm serious. like it's a compeltely different experince sitting in ur room listening to youtube videos than like skanking in dark rooms with djs and mcs and 100s of other people that are all into the music as much as you are. do u aspire to eventually go to a club and listen to the music you like? or are u content as you are?
find me a club in new york that plays jungle and rave music then.
til then im just gonna have to dance to techno.
what clubs are there in new york btw?
uk man here... i hear about clubs in paris or amsterdam or berlin or whatever as being important venues... cant name a single club in america tbh (no joke / b8)
its just how it is. the whole edm thing is just really popular here.
thankfully most nights i go out i never run into the whole edm crowd unless its on the train back home. tbh lots of old heads go clubbing in new york last time i went there was a 60+ year old couple going ham to some dettmann.
next friday at new york's #1 club sounds like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5OImhbqHkg
wow, u guys got it bad...
i've got a yr abroad at uni next year and ideally i'd go to new york, chicago or frankfurt. i visited new york when i was 15 and it was amazing but what i'm hearing about ur clubs is genuinely turning me off :/
at least once every 2 weeks i try.
my usual problem when trying to go out is either people saying they don't like "techno", "sorry its too late". or just some other bullshit excuse.
and going by yourself is weird.
ah, right. that's better. i've never been by myself but i'd imagine it's not too bad so long as ur really into the music and that. no one knows ur on ur own or would even care if they did know
maybe edm will be kill once people start using these things more at their festivals and people start dying from things other than drugs/booze
DJ SS - Black (1995)
DJ SS - Orange (1996)
nah it wasn't that.
i had a bunch of granulator patches running in this tune and if you're familiar with max you know that they can bug out quite frequently. some funky shit happened and ableton crashed. recovered the project and the patches were completely gone and empty.
>>Antarctica fam we in here
REPPIN DA ESKIMO ENDZ
record label tshirt that isn't directly related to the night ur at but is a little bit. cap. hoodie or windbreaker that is then tied with the sleves diagonally across the chest. jeans or trackies. nikes. anything else just looks weird
wish I could track down that thread where people started posting vocaroo OPN trap bangers in repsonse, funniest shit I'd ever heard
>film needs track for a club scene
>"I know, we'll use a Burial track"

I met him one time at a Bjork show, he was just in the crowd with everyone else, enjoying it. We talked about Bjork and the show, then we talked about his set and we went on our own ways. Super nice m8, he acted excited to talk to me and he really loved the show.
>final solo album
FIND MAN A LINK NOW
They play Todd Terje, Metro-Area, Inner City, Jessie Lanza, Stardust, Azari & III and a bunch of other stuff I can't recall off the top of my head at Michael Kors.
A third of their playlist is typical mall shit, another third is synthwave/synth pop, but the other half is their "runway" music which is a fucking incredible mix of all kinds of house music.
>>You're obviously not black enough to appreciate ministry
You're right, I don't sell shit quality drugs at clubs, pickpocket, or sit around a bottle of Goose that i can barely afford in the VIP area.
Those in particular aren't the ones I'm talking about. I'm talking about the "runway" music which is all kinds of house music and electro-disco.
These are some that I was able to shazam:
Pretty fucking good imo.
it's more votes than those strawpolls usually get by a long way
also i made that strawpoll about 4 hours ago. it was in the last thread towards the end
i know americans post in bleep, just not convinced there are 90 in here over the last few hours
Should i get a R&S shirt like the guy in the Extra music video or would I come off as a toolbag
