ITT: Albums you don't think anyone else on /mu/ has heard.
Never hear Mike Oldfield mentioned at all but it seems like the kind of stuff /mu/ would cream over.
You must be a magnet to shit music then if you persistently listen to such alleged crap
One of my favorite albums of the year. Released on Isaac Brock's label Glacial Pace and has a similar feel to some of Mount Eerie's music.
Because Steam Powered Giraffe fedoracored the entire genre apparently, /mu/ won't touch Steampunk.
Still, I'll leave a good sample here if anyone's interested:
Mediocre but it has a warm home feel to it. I found it by finding what Richard D. James would listen to/inspire him.
latin marimba covers of kraftwerk
Nimh - Okkyung Lee
I would be shocked if anyone had heard this album, or anything by her.
It's also one of the greatest albums of all time.
Its like a cross between Lou Reed and Van Morrison.
Just released the other day and is so fucking sick.
Awesome future-funk album. It was practically the soundtrack to my summer.
back in the day they were my favourite band.. i should listen to them more
thumbnail is a shiny brass booty
Had a really difficult time finding this until I realized it was on Amazon
> I know this really obscure band
> You've probably never heard of them
... Almost, I have "The Four Seasons" by him on the same label (haven't listened to it yet).
It's quite popular. Hampus used to post it if I remember correctly.
Kinda good, has its flaws but tracks 2-3 are gr8
reverse image search might work.
And I don't even like the genre itself aside from this album.
There is literally zero chance that anyone else has heard most extreme ultimate thunder here.
That's a shame though.
It gets mentioned from time to time, but not nearly often enough. Easily a 10/10 for me, Top 25 album
An Amalgamation of All the Things That Destroyed My Life (Past & Present) by The Ghost of Frisco Farr
>mfw I almost posted Electro-Shock
I'm 90% sure no one will have heard of this
yeah, best picture I could find on the internet like 4 years ago. Can't find anything if I search now.
