Drone is the right answer, but this is entirely the wrong drone. Way too menacing and attention grabbing. Try something gentler, like Stars of the Lid, Kevin Drumm, Kyle Bobby Dunn, Windy & Carl...

Several easy listening mp3 mixtapes at a low db level and on a custom EQ with everything turned completely down to create a layer of white noise that is louder then the music. I listen w/ my ear buds in.

I listen to music I like, since I can't focus on it entirely - due to working- but my familiarity with said albums makes up for that. Personally I could listen to anything, since it helps to direct my attention either way. Something slightly calmer is always good though.
Recently while working, I've been listening to The Twilight Sad : No-one can ever know. It's a good album, go look it up.
Atmospheric vapordrone or instrumental anglo-prog.

Jazz is always a pleasure.

I listen to The Social Network Soundtrack while writing job applications and working on my computer in general. With the exception maybe of the totally out of place In The Hall Of The Mountain King cover.
It's my gold standard for being productive. Should be fine for studying too.
