Hey /bleep/, there's no synth thread up so I figured I'd ask here
I'm on a budget ($500) and I want a synthesizer with lots of controls and ways to tweak the sound, basically I want something that allows as much synthesis as possible. I initially looked at the Microbrute but I was terribly bored with it because it's Monophonic, so I can only play melodies, no chords. So I then looked at the MiniNova, but it's essentially a preset machine, not allowing much else than basic tweaking to preset sounds in the synth.
So, is there a polyphonic synth with as many controls as say, the microbrute, in my budget? Size doesn't matter, and neither does digital/analog. I just want something polyphonic to learn synthesis with.

Chillax, the UK festival game is brutal and they jumped the shark bad. They went out and did a couple of years of solid club nights and now they're trying to get back to their venue roots. I did Bloc 2011 and it was fucking great, they know how to run their shit there.
