I am a fan of ambient/downtempo/electronic music by musicians such as Aphex Twin, Autechre, Plaid, Brian Eno, Photek, Jega, Lustmord etc - but I tend to skip many of the tracks in their albums for being too "noisy" and random, I prefer ambiance and a consistent tune.
Any recommendation tracks or albums for me?

Brian Eno? Noisy? hmmmm
Have you heard Discreet Music by him? The first track is 30 minutes long and is completely mellow the whole way through. Then there are three classical tracks that I never listen to.

AND
HTRK - Psychic 9-5 Club (probably my AOTY)

Man they're all so fucking cheesy. Especially Emancipator. i want to like emancipator but I feel like a mother drinking coffee on a sunday whenever I listen to Emancicheesy
Maybe give some classical ambient a try. Like A Winged Victory for the Sullen or Stars of the Lid. Its some truly beautiful work and definitely not what you would call "noisy"
