Please keep in mind that /bleep/ is predominantly for dance music, not everything under the "electronic" umbrella. Those looking to expand their tastes will likely not find recs here, check out essentials charts in the sticky for that.
Ishkur's guide to dance music, although it's biased: http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/

Simon Reynolds - Energy Flash is a recommended reading.
>Where do I get this music?
Discogs also has a marketplace which is very useful for finding rare records no longer on the shelves, but do your research before buying anything for an inflated price.
>I'm lazy and don't want to think for myself
>Wow this is all very overwhelming how do I know what's what?
Record labels are your friend. Discogs probably has the most extensive archive of every release ever, and most people like to discover more music by cataloging labels on discogs and looking at where certain artists have released other stuff. Rateyourmusic is also a decent alternate option.tensive archive of every release ever. Ok, so, I placed a pre-order on the South London Boroughs RoughTrade repress on august 26th, and still no mail indicating a dispatch or a delivery in the forthcoming days. I won't get this fucking ep, will I?
Checked my bank account and nope… but I think the payment is processed the moment the order is dispatched. And yeah, the release is still available so it isn't like they're out of stock either…
On their contact page, there's a mail address you can contact in order to ask about the state of one of your order / pre-order… I mailed them this morning, but still no answer.
I'm bordering on canceling my previous order and trying again now that the repress has been officially released. Plus if these fuckers take too long to send it, my payment might be refused due to my credit card meeting its expiration date at the end of this month. Fuck.
Well, let's inform each other about this in future threads, ok?
lol fuck after all these comments I decided to check my rough trade order. I was stoned as shit when I ordered, anyone want to buy the extra kuedo record when it arrives?
Any man on the Ripatti stuff? Samples sound great but only got around to grabbing 01, 02 and 03 the other day because of the Boomkat sale. About to give them a spin now
Excited about this, but IMHO I think he's past his prime. This stuff sounds a bit stale, it sounds like his earlier work re-arranged in the style of The Four Quarters. Maybe I have my expectations too high.
I did like Kuopio and Vantaa, but there is something missing that the old Vlad had that isn't there anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old ....
tl;dr: Excited, will buy
Yeah i feel that. I do love those recent-ish Raster releases but the old ones still do it for me... Multila, Entain etc.
Loved the Sensate Focus 1.6666 and have a soft spot for that kinda thing, so these Ripattis are essential when they're only 4 quid or whatever. Nice looking records too, what with the artwork and all that.
But yeah, defs not on the same level as his older stuff.

hardest decision of your life.
round 1, fight.
my bad it was actually two separate releases i dl'ed at the same time
Anyone got any recs for tribal or Muslimgauze-sounding techno?
This should be a good read.
Amazing. More of an older, more traditional sounding Juke/Footwork than Double Cup which was released in the same year. I preferred the latter though.
Joey Beltram - Classics
>Techno, Acid Techno
>mfw I first heard of Joey Beltram and several other huge House/Techno producers through Daft Punk - Teachers
I have no problems admitting that I like Daft Punk and their project. If I had to choose one track as my single favourite track of all time, it would probably be Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You.
VSnares should just make a Jungle album.
Or at least make something like Detrimentalist again.
did anyone listen to Eomac's album?
I don't remeber reading a single thing about it
There's a few yes:
These are good, but I've already rinsed out most of Metalheadz' output and I'm looking for stuff that is a bit rougher you know? A bit heavier.
I'm looking for stuff similar to:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do1tdfGJQAk (first 2:30)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5NMTyAuPMk (like the section with the pads at the beginning and middle of this song)
About half way through this I was thinking "I swear I have posted this exact list before." Good taste anon. If you want proper Amen rinse out stuff like Merder Style and Babylon (of which the first DJ Trace reimix is way better) then I can recommend that as well.

On a related note, I never knew Dred Bass had an official video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIW_PnkomYs
