>>49331642
>>49331491
I fucking like that album cover.
>>49331742
Nobody said you didn't, but it's not exactly an appetising cover that encourages you to listen.
>>49331835
Neither is a big fucking dick over a boring bathroom floor.
>>49331874
That's irrelevant to the conversation though since No Love Deep Web wasn't mentioned and I'm not a fan of that album cover either.
>>49331874
lmao what
>>49331945
It's quite relevant to the discussion since we are talking about album covers which potentially don't represent their respective music accurately. But truth be told: opinions about art are irrelevant. Now opinions on mathematics are much easier to pin down since they can be easily verified as both logically valid or invalid AND true or false.
>>49331742
Who gives a fucking shit whether you like it or not, if the music is good then fuck you
>>49332042
> opinions about art are irrelevant
Replace irrelevant with subjective and we can agree.
>>49332079
Nah. They are both irrelevant and subjective. Your wishful thinking just wants them to be relevant. And let's be honest, you and I both want to hear good opinions about our music so that we feel validated in creating it. But that doesn't make them relevant.
>>49332117
I don't even make music, I was commenting on someone's album cover looking amateurish.
I don't believe the opinion is all that irrelevant if you're posting a link to your music and asking for feedback. The feedback people ask for are opinions, and therefore if someone says "Oh the music is nice but the album cover is off-putting", although its the artist's choice to dismiss the feedback, it'd be a bit redundant to do so as what would be the point of wanting feedback if you couldn't handle hearing something you didn't want to hear?
Jesus Christ way to ruin a thread, you guys, how about you all just fuck off
>>49332207
Maybe you're right about everything. Now I wonder what I'm doing wasting my time here looking for opinions from people who, like you, probably don't even make music. So what weight would their uninformed opinion carry anyway? Does their opinion matter just because they listen to music and are a fan of music??
>>49332239
how about fuck off yourself, cunt
>>49332239
this thread will recover just like the earth did after the meteorite that killt tha gawtdamn dinosaurs
>>49332265
> Now I wonder what I'm doing wasting my time here looking for opinions from people who, like you, probably don't even make music
> So what weight would their uninformed opinion carry anyway
It's as simple as someone saying they like this or that about your sound, and that or this about what they don't like about it. Even if you don't make music, you can tell what you enjoy and what you don't enjoy in the music you hear.
But hey, if you're going to assume everyone is uneducated in sound because they don't personally make music, that's even more off-putting when listening to your work, knowing you don't really care what your potential fans might think. Way to sound like a pretentious twat, buddy.

>>49332481
I make music and agree with the point made by the other guy, though. I want anyone to listen to my stuff and to share what they like or don't like in my sound. That way I can try improving on my next release, y'know? Insulting your listeners isn't cool.
>>49332570
No need to get hostile, I'm just saying taking feedback with a pinch of salt if somebody says something you don't want to hear is ideal, and it's key to improvement.

sup with this label? do you plan on physical or digital releases? is there a website?
im only down if you can promise me a vinyl release of all my classic hits that has an etched hologram, the label has a song in it, side B plays backwards from the center to the edges, and you can get me a spot on jimmy kimmel/fallon to hype it. make it happen, then we'll talk.

This is Girls With Depression.
I don't understand what your label is going to be/do/accomplish. You seem to have requested the partnership of musicians in a million different genres and I'm guessing you're not funded for anything in particular.
That said, I'm not one to miss out any opportunities and I can always just make more music if my release on your label is a huge waste of time.
I'm probably in.
