Thanks man. Yeah Im not working with the best mics and programmes so the production will lack a bit. I mean its improved a bit since my old stuff but that has also shaped my way of playing. Pre set drums, along with me playing bass and guitar lines.
I need to ensure vocals arent too harsh but I appreciate your comments.

I think this idea has potential but isn't executed correctly in my opinion. The song sounds flacid and lacks energy. Even if the song was shorter I still think those melodies would stagnate really quickly. Mix seems ok but I don't have my headphones on me at the moment so it is hard to tell. I know trap production is supposed to sound sparse, but this song is just barren man. I think you could do with some sort of more defined progression or structure within the song, and maybe some eastern ethnic drums to spice shit up a little bit if you think it would tie in with the whole jungle aesthetic you're going for. I'd probably use them sparingly though. Some low end might be nice too actually.

I've given you the most constructive criticism I could, but all that shit is just what I, personally, want to hear. Keep at it and I'll be sure to check these threads for your stuff to see how your music evolves. Good luck and keep at it brother.

I post unmodern stuff with thrills.

Anyone have any advice for someone who has the hardest time putting tracks together. This combined with the fact that i feel like there is a pressure for my first soundcloud song to be good makes it hard for me to accomplish anything. Not sure about genre, Mono, Have A Nice Life, and ambient music are some of my biggest influences so stuff like that, combined

The only advice I can give is 9/10 your first songs will be shit, but who cares? Post them, get critiqued, take what people say into consideration and learn from it. It's what i've done and there is an insanely big difference in quality between my first tracks and my latest tracks because of this, posting and learning from what I post.

In terms of piecing a track together, if you don't feel like you're getting anywhere after an hour or two of working on your song, dump it and come back to it another time, try start something fresh if you start to lose the vibe.

I've sold beats to Chief Keef and Young Thug, and I've made beats for a lot of underground rappers, mostly in Chicago. Money wise, I'm pretty successful. I work 15 hours a week building solar panels, and the two allow me to live comfortably. In terms of what I make, I don't think its that good but its what sells. I'm just telling you guys my opinion, after reviewing on these boards for at least a year, everything is the same and everyone just plops down their shit like it deserves plays when usually, it fucking sucks.
