>Experimental Hip-Hop, Future Hip-Hop
Guys, I'm trying to make music in FL studio. Just got nexus and massive. How the fuck do I learn this shit? I've been messing around with FL studio (without nexus and massive) for the past year, and alls I can make are intros for house music and trance.
What youtube channels are good to look at, seamless didn't help me at all
My first project:
At least give the intro a listen haha
I return feedback
>instrumental hip hop
will return feedback m8s
I dig this man, I would add a bit more snap to that snare and you got yourself a BEAST of a trak.
Enjoyed the build up m8, as goes for the genre im unsure. im sure you'd be safe with sexy synth.
>chill trap, tmnt samples
>electronic, ambient, experimental, droney soundscapes, noisy
Just uploaded this one today, any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated!
>progressive electronic ... i think
old beats and loops
>electronic, orchestral, metal, 8-bit, chill, groove, epic
just posted my newest track this morning, let me know what you think.
Would love some general comments and feedback. I will return every comment on soundcloud! Thanks!
>atmospheric, Balkan inspired, post-rock(ish) instrumentals
>MAXIMUM VOLUME YIELDS MAXIMUM RESULTS
Qualm-nice contrast of light piano and the heavy guitar section.
Lot of cool stuff going on to keep it interesting too. Very proggy.
The electronic beat during 1:06 was a nice touch.
The track sometimes felt a bit in cohesive and not smooth between each section. For example, 1:31 could've had something building up to it a bit more.
Overall, this is a solid track.
>Electronica, Sampling, Dad Rock
Just released this and i will listen to some others here
Pretty good but bundy feels a little empty, for instance I like the melody on the strings but the strings themselves need a fuller sound. Also not a fan of the heys lol.
Nice, sleep paralysis reminds me a little of boc
Mix lacks a bit of punch if you know what I mean, but well done nonetheless, hope you make more french house-y shit
>ambient, soundscape, downtempo
>one of three tracks that i made that are generic trap beats
>stoner noise, indie improv, covers, shite
Prepare your earholes!
>electro, female vocals
>thes covers songs
>Experimental Hip Hop
love the melody and the percussion used but it feels like the track would work better if it was faster, but still a great track
Listen to "Weird" and i like it, the beginning is a little slow and repetitive at first but once you get going it gets quite entertaining
love the melody, sampling and percussion used though track, but the percussion at some certain parts fill off
Like the synths used really fun sounding track but the beginning felt a little to slow but it built up for a great track
i dont know if anybody here likes trance
but heres a track i might be releasing
>instrumental band, bass, drums, guitar
> whatever the fuck I do
> don't murder me
>ambient for the home and workplace
>Lot of shit
Chew on my pop rock.
Sick ass flow, followed
Love "Lost Sibling" fucking like, follwed, suscrib
"Gone" sounds great, really vibrant with nice melody
You are my god now, fucking steller track.
Nice production and you have good flow, good shit m8 followed
Like the atmospheric melody you have, great shit
Lovely chords man, nice sampling and percussion good shit
Funny Sampling, good track love to hear more from you
love the vocals and melody, but the climax built up to something
very atmospheric and spacey feel, good track
like the bass and melody along with the pitch change at the end
Very exciting and vibrant track, love to hear more of what you got
Nice track, great bass and melody

What I've been working on:
Left comments for these
So chill. This is definitely something I would listen to on a regular basis. The last half of Ano is killer. CNR is great also.
This is fucking amazing.
I really dig this. I really didn't know what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised. Followed for sure. Really well produced, the samples are great and Summer Death is so laid back. Really good vibes.
>I can't shit because I'm a tree.
>folk, songwriter, acoustic, guitar, bedroom
> -insertsubgenrehere-step / Orchestral / Various Electronic
>Cloud Rap/Trap Instrumentals, Shoegazey Beats
Just uploaded a new track
Raw, classic type dubstep.
Google Sound structure requirements. Make a 16 bar intro with variation, do a 16 bar breakdown/buildup, then 32 mini drop, a 16 - 32 bar drop breadown/buildup, then 32 bar final drop. The rest is purely up to the amount of creativity or work you put into making it sound good, as long is it retains some formulaic properties. The structure will allow you freedom to have as much intensity or versatility you want. As per learning massive, there's a manual/guide/forums if you actually bought the thing. Mastering is also key, so make sure you start with percussive elements at the intro, and keep each part sectioned off clearly enough to be able to master it on the fly to make it sound pro in the middle of your workflow. Adding variations will be very fluid during the process if structured correctly, as well.
Anyways, I like doing dark Hardstyle but I'm planning to update with a happier track because mainstream is eating that shit up. Struggling like fux to do so atm. Who knows, I may be able to make it ironic enough to work. Probably only worth listening to the track I have linked. Enjoy. *Tips fedora, magically disappearing into the night*
>made when I kinda first learned the pentatonic scale
>people seem to fucking love it
I dont even understand. but here
i dont know what genre this would fit in...
So I listened to the whole Daily Relapse album, and I was pretty impressed. I found the spoken word passages really fascinating, but in particular I love the riffs, particularly the doomy aspects of Sage Of The Seers and Power And Euphoria. Great stuff, dude. Followed.
Also my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/tears-of-chronus/leviathan-final-mix
Not very serious about my stuff, but if it could get a listen thatd be cool.
>lofi psych pop
>new song up yesterday
Wow, thanks. That means a lot. I just listened to your track. I really like that guitar tone you have. It really conjures up the imagery in the song art. This thing is crushing. I really dig it. Followed back.
>Harsh Motivational Tape Music, Electronic
Brand new stuff. Kinda.
>exploring jazz a tiny bit
Just made this track
>synthy, 80's style
>smooth guitar tone
>inspired by n64 and ps1 osts
pls give my stuff a try, just posted a new track
>sad, folk stuff
I just wanna see if I can make it to 3000 listens before i go to bed. I like sad stuff. weird stuff. sad weird stuff. folk stuff. people who can barely sing but try anyway. link me to your stuff if you think it fits any of those.
Got any advice for a white guy rapping?
Not as a career, just for one particular song.
I'm a bit new to voice recording, over music.
Dood I found the image on this board
That's usually the attitude I have with things.
But after what's been said about just the instrumentation alone for what I plan to spit rhymes over...
I'm not too keen on just extrapolating. Is the walkie-talkie effect a cliche, these days?
i just need 10 more plays and ill hit 3000 and ill go to sleep and ill leave you all alone forever
>better produced track
?instrumental in case you hate my voice (which you probably will if you arent into sub par emotional vocalists)
