New bandcamp thread; old one is dying
Post yr albums, give feeback, be friendly :^)
>Drone, Noise, Swans, Sunn O)))
The 2nd and 5th songs are pretty exemplary of our sound if you just want to listen to a song or two.
I'm early this time.
Thanks to all the anons who have helped me out in these threads.
>lo-fi, shoegaze, garage rock, pop-punk, hints of blackgaze and post-rock
>lofi, bedroom pop, folk
Check me out!:
>beats, lo-fi, samples and strange time signatures (on '80 in particular)
>this one's dedicated to my kitty, who died recently
Also have a facebook I'm trying to get off the ground.
Also have a facebook I'm trying to get off the ground: /nathandanielsturbo
I feel like the first three songs are better than the later half, but it's interesting for sure.
Really fractured feeling. I like how it sort of has no real structure.
The synth is "Girl" is satisfying in the same way pulling a scab off is. I like you.
I love the texture to these songs...What did you use to get that guitar tone? I love how spacey the vocals feel.
>electronic, ambient, experimental, droney soundscapes, noisy
Alternating long and short songs. Emphasis on texture and immersion.
We've been terribly inactive lately. I promise we're still around, for better or for worse.
Not mine, but here's some more new fresh oceangrunge:
He described it as "ocean synth, witch grunge, and dungeon noise" but pretty sure he was just having a laff.
>garage rock, guitar country, 60s/90s
>dino jr, silver jews, wilco
>folk punk, banjo, amon amarth
sorry about your kitty :c
Spoke to you about only recently downloading this, loving it more and more with everyone listen
Just released my EP if any of you care to listen
>Vaporwave and Trap
Just put out my first album! Enjoi :)
Samcrooke - Sunlit Dust / Suspended Conversation
>abstract hip-hop, lo-fi, ambient
I've got the day off work, so i'll take a listen to some stuff that hasn't been replied to yet.
pretty good - i really liked the drums on what i heard, a nice mix of acoustic and electric. the vocals reminded me of ian curtis quite a bit, too.
cool lo-fi vibe, a lot of the guitar stuff reminds me of like a mix between grizzly bear and ducktails or something. nice sampling on the opening track too, if it is in fact sampling.
very chill / well-produced. track 2 reminds me of the year of hibernation quite a bit.
nice, man. your voice sounds like a "cooler" isaac brock (not sure if that's the best description, but watevs). great lyrics/songwriting, too.
nice vibe goin' on here. feels really spacey, but also kind of like a retro-synth thing too or whatever. if you're still in the thread, did you make this entirely in a DAW, or do you own actual synths?
not bad. i don't listen to a lot of ambient music, but i really dug that. also, massive props for improvising songs that sound so cohesive.
sick, dude. lots of energy, etc. from what i can hear, i bet you guys put on a great live show.
really good. there's something almost hypnotic to this stuff, especially on ARU's side. digging the (vocal?) sampling, especially.
Here's my stuff, by the way. It's a bit long, so if you only want a sample, skip to track 16:
>"experimental" pop, minimalism, some polyphony-type-stuff, idk im bad at genres
>last time i shared on /mu/, someone said it reminded them of STGSTV, so there's that i guess
3 free albums of viciously uncomfortable stoner noise, improv, and general fucking about
>folk punk, lofi, antifolk
experimental electronic instrumental
just re released some old shit
>Electronic stuff with guitar stuff
>Noise Pop, Shoegaze, Dream Pop
only have one song up there right now, and it's a demo, so all feedback is appreciated. I know it sucks, so be constructive. thank you.
D?T?P?G?N - $TAND ALONE COMPLEX
released it under a small netlabel/collective called OCEAN-INC.
>Trillwave, Witch house, hiphop.
i'll probably get back to listening to some of the stuff in here, seems interesting ;)
A shitty experimental drone/noise project I put together. P-Please be kind, I'm only a boy!
Yes, i'm not surprised that anyone guessed that, but it's nice someone noticed :)
really liking the sound of this, real nostalgic
>synth laden ambient, soft/warm noise
This is our new ep. We're stilling working out a few kinks production wise, but it'll get sorted out soon enough.
>emo/punk/etc...think Dinosaur Jr+Braid
i have a behringer fuzz pedal hooked up to a beginners peavy amp. the amp is the key though, it's compact and powerful. gives me the lo-fi sounds i want while still packing a punch.
Hopefully is too long, War Wives hurt my ears and it was a shit track. The later tracks were boring.
Nice vibes but make ALBUMS and not just SINGLES, fuckwit
I really fucking doubt anyone is ever going to buy this album
Today I woke up and deleted all of my vaporware albums I had collected over the past week
Drop the bass but keep the album art
Your friend is a faggot
This isn't rock
Generic hip hop
Make it free
Audio quality is shit, I don't know if you think this is a gimmich but it isn't.
I hate the waves and the pricetag is killing my mood right now
vaporwave is a dying genre and you know it
This is probably the most talent I've ever run across in this thread.
Normally I hate price tags but if you were to ever make the digital album cost money, I'd surely be one to buy it.
This is just ambient
This isn't punk or "antifolk", this is just folk
This is just shoegaze
Nice waves and beats friendo
This is truly /mu/core
Yep that's ironic alright.
No, fuck you, I fucking hated it and I hate you too
This would actually be a great album to get high to
>lo-fi dream pop with folky tendencies
>some of my best work imo
>feels-tinged power pop, indie rock, some three part harmonies (if you're into that kind of stuff)
Debut release, hope you like it, download it if you enjoyed it, blahblahblah etc.
rock of some sort, we're still trying to find our sound.
>hip-hop/electronic hybrid stuff
>sort of ethereal and dreamy textured
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. :)
have a listen if you want, the recording quality is very poor.
thank you, I'm releasing an EP of a handful of songs I wrote a couple years back, I'll post it on here when it's done.
you have some very crisp production, I'd dance to it given the right situation no doubt
>minimalist atmospheric folk, psych folk
Vol 1 is pop-rock and Vol 2 is post-music with black metal influence. We're releasing it as a 2CD box set in a few months via Satanica Records and a possible vinyl release through a Ukranian label.
why bother posting?
I could post the 2014 equivalent of Pet Sounds and the asshats in these threads would be too into their own self-promotion to even give it a listen or pay attention to anybody else's music.
These threads are fucking dead. bandcamp threads used to be great, they were the escape from soundcloud threads (which were previously eradicated of all sincerity and quality). Now, there's basically nothing left. DAW's and production equipment are too readily available. It's a good thing in one respect, but it also means that there's a bunch of talentless retards making "music" and posting it all over the internet, clouding the definition of music itself.
are you sure you don't just mean
>random noises and sounds I somehow recorded with this app and am now trying to pass off as artistic expression because my low self esteem and lack of creative input have made me feel inadequate as both an artist and a person in general
Not mine, but this stuff is pretty great.
Daniel Lopatin gave it a shoutout on twitter and I skimmed through some of the tracks before deciding to purchase the tape. It's for a good cause, too, supporting a deceased artist's family.
>lo-fi ambient, hypnagogic pop
>sample, jazz, hiphop
>new album out, cassette release forthcoming
i hope you guys like it
i've been doing one release a month for a while now and this one burned me out
One of my favourites from this year.
Just released my first EP.
>electronic post-rock, inspired by sigur ros, boredoms, boris, and bongripper.
Track that's out right now is a "single" ahead of release of the LP on September 4th.
>folk, shoegaze, lo-fi, electronic, textured, ambient, concept album
>bedroom pop, lo-fi, loops, sweet, pretty music, electronic
>Instrumental hip-hop, cloud-rap-influenced, sludgy
>instrumental hip hop, vaporware cloudrap purple shit
this. and its a shame, too. it'd be nice to have genuinely talented musicians arise through a board like this, but nah, no one really cares about giving GENUINE feedback (if any..usually none), and it's the same talentless assfucks in each thread posting like clockwork. It's a useless system. If someone's legitimately banking on a bandcamp thread to help their fame out,....well that's just a very stupid thing to think is all.
No one owes anybody anything in these threads, people can do whatever they want. You can't guilt people into listening to your music.
I think it's a very simplistic view to think anyone here is posting in these threads in an attempt to get famous, people here make music for the joy of creation, if all you want to do is collect listens like it's fucking facebook, get a soundcloud and throw your integrity out of the window.
Bandcamp threads are great, I get loads of feedback and loads of downloads, if you think bandcamp threads don't work, maybe it's your music that's the problem instead of everything else.
>Drone, electronica, Noise, Singer/songwriter, bariton vocals
EP's free to download.
I like it. I could fall asleep to this
I also reccomend this
I agree with this fellow
I'd feel like a badass driving to your featured track.
I like it, but something about your voice is getting to me. not sure what about it is bothering me.
a friend of mine did a remix of a song of mine and I would love it if you checked it out
>doom soul/trap I guess
>dark, ~experimental hip hop
I have no pitch, just listen.
>you will never be as good looking as this person
Thanks a lot! Cow Town is available on cassette at https://secretghostrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/cow-town but I'd say just download what you want for free cause I don't even have a paypal set up anyway hahaha
just released a really short EP. it's electro, psychedelic kind of. It was more of an experiment really, and I'm gauging what peopke think of it. I've heard good things from the people I've shown it to. any feedback is appreciated
sounds cool. worth a DL. I'm interested in what 4 of 7 means. Does it mean that the album is going to be 7 tracks or movements? And I'm wondering what the other parts sound like, if they're all like this or if they're varied. So color me intrigued.
Thanks, I really appreciate it. Yeah it's going to be 7 tracks, all of which will comprise one flowing piece of music. But they're all unique and have their own aesthetic at the same time. I'm proud of my work on it so I'm really glad you liked it!`
My demo EP, has gotten generally good reviews in the past, so check it out and see it you like it.
>Shoegaze, ambient, post-rock, loud drums-core, reverb-core, grainy photograph as an album cover-core
My first EP of ambient, glitchy sounds.
made a blondie remix for heart of glass by looping the fuck out of it. lemme know what you think
You should tag your bandcamp page oceangrunge
You sound like a more muscular Cap'n Jazz, and this album reminds me a little of Million Dead too. I was trying to think who your singer sounds like, and eventually I realised it's the guy from The Killers, but somehow in a good way, not a totally shit way.
I gotta say, I was digging Weak Waves EP way more.
Fucking hell this guy is so good. He was in a thread the other night being all timid and shit, thinking nobody liked his shit.
