What genre requires the least amount of talent to create music?
My vote goes to Folk or Punk
I fucking hate ambient, something about it seems so pretentious. That being sad, I don't have any idea how much skill actually goes into making it, but it seems pretty damn easy.
I make ambient music for this reason. But i'm guessing that a lot of the people who are really good at it spend a lot of time getting their synths perfect, and layering and mixing them perfectly. I'd say it's about as difficult as making trap beats, so, not very.
rap... you just need to make poem about the life in awful cities and talk funny
>don't have to have any vocal ability
>don't need to know how to play an instrument because everything is sampled
>don't have to have any poetry skills beyond that of a 6th grader
>just have to talk over bits and pieces of music you stole
Rap is the cancer killing music, I can't even like it ironically
I think a good point to raise here would be that it can be difficult to make any genre sound really good. But if we're just talking about what is the easiest possible thing you can make and it still be within the genre i would say vaporwave.
>Being this pleb
i hope you aren't talking about me. everyone knows me as "that dark ambient guy", but i don't remember ever thinking it was edgy. actually, i've always tried to get people to notice the other parts of my taste more.
yeah seconding this. that's not to say good indie artists are devalued in any way, it just seems like this genre/style/place/thing has spawned a fuckton of useless "musicians" (usually trendy teens looking to project an image).
