I make ambient music for this reason. But i'm guessing that a lot of the people who are really good at it spend a lot of time getting their synths perfect, and layering and mixing them perfectly. I'd say it's about as difficult as making trap beats, so, not very.

I think the answer is objectively punk because a certain amount of musical ineptitude is basically expected. Also good production is neither encouraged or expected.

I think a good point to raise here would be that it can be difficult to make any genre sound really good. But if we're just talking about what is the easiest possible thing you can make and it still be within the genre i would say vaporwave.
