Ignore chavposters, ignore shitposts etc
lets get this goin then.
grime is bleep
>>48782907
>Ignore chavposters
ignore you mate
favorite grime song?
Grime is not /bleep/
Here is one of many logical reasons why.
I cannot fathom why somebody would subject themselves to these sub-par dancefloor orientated loops for degenerate chavs, especially music which is considered an instrumental if it does not have an undereducated or ridiculous MC 'spitting bars' over the top of the 'instrumental' in a very erratic and sloppy fashion, bleep music does not have vocals for the most part, grime is infact a sub-genre of UK Hip Hop.
You should really listen to something with more substance in my opinion, grime has no substance and therefore it cannot be bleep and it cannot be discussed even on the lowest of intellectual levels.
Sorry to quote the OP and for the minority ( I would hope) that are actually defending grime in these threads the same can be applied to drum and bass. It's Just garbage, no excuses for that irrelevant nonsense in the /Bleep/ threads.
As stated above I cannot comprehend why you would ever think /Bleep/ is grime, just because it was closely linked to Dubstep in the early 2000's and doesn't fit in anywhere else doesn't mean it's /Bleep/. It is and has always been a niche sub-genre and arguably a micro-genre of UK Hip Hop.
There is no such thing as the new wave of Grime or Drum & Bass both are just desperately clinging onto something that just isn't there anymore and hasn't been there for many years, the current producers of the new wave of both Grime and D&B are just re-hashing what has already been done in the past and labelling it as innovation and no Exit Records or Keysound are no exception to this.
Now that I have given you a well structured and thought out response, hopefully we can get back to the quality discussion we used to have in /Bleep/ and you will know realise grime and drum and bass for that matter holds no further place in these threads, doing so would be considered shitposting or in this case chavposting.
Ignore, report and hide chavposters
Take it elsewhere lads

Because listen to Dizzee now and see what he's turned into. At least Grime is finally getting good again after that dark period after 07 when everyone decided to try and fail at making hip-hop/sub 140BPM/'emotional' Grime shit.
Does anyone like the Hessle???
>>48783204
that's what i'm saying though, if a record can be that good then all grime has that potential, and even if dizzee's abandoned us there's good shit all over the place coming up now

I think Novelist will release some good tunes.
>>48782986
I think the problem is the UK culture and its obsession with social classes
In Germany, people who produce bleeps do not give a fuck about how much money they have, or their place in the social ladder, so you get people from all walks of life producing techno (programmers, descendants of the old Germany aristocracy, regular people, poor people etc). They collab, they make music (which sometimes isn't good) but they leave their societal baggage behind when they go into the studio.
But in the UK, where class is everything, producers feel almost obligated to make sure their audience knows who is behind the record. So in the case of grime, it has to be over the top "trashy" and it has to sound "trite" because it is the music of the "lower masses" and it cannot be confused for anything else at all. Thus, why a lot of the bleeps in the UK tend to be nothing but fads and trends, and the production tends to sound amateur *(even when the producers can put out high quality stuff). Because they have to "keep it real"
I like the way /bleep/ only cares about grime, when drum and bass gets called out nobody defends it.
boy dnb really is at its lowest right now.
>>48783241
Yeah fair enough. I still feel that the MCing side of things is still terrible (why do they all feel the need to spit over this newish Trap shit instead of proper badboy Grime put out by Kahn/Neek/Wen/Slackk/JT The Goon etc.) but the instrumental side is as good now as when it was at it's best.
Also thinking about it, Dizzee ledt Grime relatively quickly but in fairness it blew up mainly because of him.

>>48783345

>>48783345
I like the "trashy", ""real"" sound
>>48783385
but still, the argument is 'grime isn't /bleep' not 'grime is shit', and no evidence has been given FOR the former, only AGAINST, i.e >>48783019
>>48781957 [Tensnake]
>despite not even promoting myself much at all
Are you really this delusional? The sheer desperation that you reek of to cultivate a personality on 4chan leads me to believe that you would be completely insufferable in real life.
>>48783347
I still probably listen to more Drum & Bass than any other genre but I like the older stuff far more than things coming out now. The odd release will still come out and blow me away but the move towards slower tempo more experimental D&B, while good in the sense that it stops the genre from stagnating like Jungle or Breakbeat Hardcore did, is bad for me because I really prefer faster variants of D&B (hence why Techstep is the best D&B sub).
I should probably listen to the new DLR EP. Metalheadz has been fantastic this year.
>>48783345
this post is a complete load of bullshit
the 'trashy' sound wasn't deliberate or anything, and weren't purposely going for an amateur sound. i actually prefer old grime that has good production quality, some of the basslines are sick.

Also exhibit A:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3OTgTyujtE
why is artwork in dnb so shit? even when its 'clean' its still crappy.
For someone like me that only listens to labels and buys records that have a strong asethetic to them such as L.I.E.S, Hessle Audio and Russian Torrent Verions etc its no wonder most of us people with more deeper taste in bleeps just think its trash.
If you want to capture the fashion, art and forward thinking crowd, you need to have those things first which going on it's track record, dnb will never have.
>>48783546
>something thats been in the top 40s isnt /bleep/. sorry.
Garage, Jungle, Dubstep, House, etc. have all been in the Top 40
>>48783599

Not everyone hates them, it's not just the simple fact that you trip that people dislike you. Tripfriends like turny, wp666 and Luke!COOL are important because their posts are generally of a high quality; their important contribution to /bleep/ warrants the use of a tripcode, similiar to folk TL;DR Tuna and Harsh.
Then there's others like Tiny and Ennui who, while not always particularly quality posters, are at least likeable and have contributed to board culture and can therefore cultivate a cult of personality without issue.
You, on the other hand, are little more than a shitposter in quality (you linkspam with scant regard for how little people care, you consistently respond to trolls, you participate in "chavposting" amongst many other transgressions), and are also completely unlikeable. You don't seem to have much actual personality and you post in a very selfish and self-centred way. You're like the kid in class who screams constantly for attention.
