the non-shitposting thread
let the spirit of steves inspire you
or you could let the grime fans and house/techno fans coexist peacefully, like they have done for the past however many months these threads have existed. how about that?
kinda the latter
i do see people talking about it on here time to time though, who knows maybe one of them is online today
i just associate it far too much with strange memories of dreadlocks, ket and laughing gas and don't actually like the music very much
allow that, man. for every decent label, you get spammed by a 100 no-names putting out awful tunes.
getting promo results for things u sent out is always a laugh tho - there's like 2 results you can always count on:
>speedy j - thx will test
>richie hawtin - downloaded for richie hawtin
>how much was he involved with Young Echo btw?
no clue. i haven't kept up with them. only noticed a jabu release recently because of how much i dislike his words.
Someone asked me for a list of essential Grime releases, I came up with this. What's missing, what should be removed?
I'm willing to out myself as a massive weeaboo (if that wasn't already obvious) by stating the only Psy-Trance I've heard is Mohican Sandbag, Theta complex and Cubegrams.
It's honestly not worth exploring, it's one of those styles that's completely homogenous. You can't tell the difference between one producer and the next
Only worth getting into if you want to impress Italians and Spaniards at trance nights
My disdain for newer MCs and my boner for Ruff Sqwad are pretty obvious based on that list it seems. I swear I've left off some proper anthems which someone will remind me of. I've already realised I left off Plastician - Beg to Differ but Plasticman Remastered is so much better that it doesn't really matter.
This was a nice UKG EP that came out recently. Haven't confirmed if it's the same Nuage as the D&B producer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjRu56Qnj2k
Also new Toyko Prose album has leaked. Should be good.
I'll have to stick to Makina when it comes to trying to impress Spainard and Eurobeat for Italians (not that I know any of either IRL but whatever).
does anyone else just feel that they spend too much money on records
i mean i sort of have the opinion that money is no object because i really, really love music but then i feel kind of bummed out that the vast majority of my finances are turning into plastic
but then thing is what's the point of money if you're not going to spend it
i just don't know how to feel really
I was surprised by how well DJ K's remix of this turned out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r10WHIN29YQ.
Once again thanks to the based anon who introduced my to JAL Premium. I barely listen to much Happy Hardcore but every release on there is properly huge.
>tfw will never go Bangface despite it being a festival which is 100% catered to my tastes.
No real reason but no one to go with (who I actually know IRL, not going to risk TFG secretly turning out to be some hench 6'7" wigger who'll kill me and steal my car if I go with him) and generally speaking I don't like crowds or unbearably loud music.
hahaha, TFG is a cutie 5'7 chubster
but yeah i sympathise, while i love outrageously loud music that physically chokes you with every kick, crowds just do my head in and there's always some smarmy bellend who will just ruin the whole night. fair enough
im looking for a small format (4 to 8 channels) analog mixer with at least one send+return chain (preferably 2 though)
what's the box at the top of the video in this?
>implying I don't live in /bleep/
If there is a thread up tomorrow I'll post it in there
There is a small amount of UKG in there. Go into the Not Jungle subfolder and there's a few Locked On comps/12"s, some Ghost EPs (El-B's label), Jammin's UKG releases on Bingo Beats, some Ice Cream Records EPs and Texture Records. And there's some LP/comps in that folder as well.
Because ur a fassy. Some people just don't like it to be fair.
still keen on kahn and all that just I remember watching lotm 3 a few years ago and thinking it was sick, had a phase, got into techno for a while, and now coming back to grime I find the vocals are nearly all shite
nothing gets me going even the tunes I used to like, only big productions do
is there any current music that vibes off 90s chart rnb pop/boybandcore
Been having fun digging through Nice N Ripe's catalog
why do people not talk about Moire? This video and single he released are insane, you would think the actress fans on mu would at least mention his upcoming LP
