If you could that "#30? #40?" one, I guess this is 35.
Also I made contact with aliens last night, that's why I missed the challenge submission date. Only thing I was able to bring with me was my Microbrute, no computer or fx or eq or compression or anything. I think they recorded some stuff with it. I may have been probed.
Here is the recording. Warning: it may be disturbing. You may want to start with the volume down a tad.

someone asked in another thread so here goes.
what's the most compact midi sampler?
i can pick up a volca keys for $50 and a beats for around $40...worth it? Only other piece of hardware I've got is a waldorf blofeld.
>>48605736
>$50 volca keys
fffuck you I'm jealous!
Easy to make the keys sound great with some EQ. the Volca Beats? no so much, you sorta have to mod it.
>>48605783
isn't the only problem with the beats the snare? clap sounds alright iirc
>>48605674
sweet jesus wtf did i just listen to
>>48605732
Does this work for you?
re: Bugbrand
i want one, but would never buy one. couldnt justify the price.
Serge would be nice and is somewhat affordable, too
>>48605970
yeah, the snare is what needs to be modded.
$40 isn't much though
>>48605736
buy the keys yo
>>48605674
LOL-HS is what superior beings choose
>>48605674
fuck these share sites with no volume control

u think ur some fucking ryoji ikeda son? It was pretty pleasant though.
>>48606940
Maybe, but a bit out of my price range, especially for what it does.
>>48607045
I don't know who that is, but I'll look him up, and thank you :)
>>48607045
>>48607228
Damn, this is legitimately pretty damn brilliant.

I wonder what synth he uses?

>I don't know who that is, but I'll look him up
A Japanese minimal glitch artist who lives in France. His art installations are huge and pretty ebin, I plan on going to one eventually, just need to cough up the dough.

Analog is pretty damn beautiful, never heard digital synths do this sorta stuff.
I mean again, I honestly don't want to piss anyone off or offend anyone, but even with this $300 (I got it for $250 tho, mind you) piece of equipment, the variety of fascinating sounds and timbres you can create with no outside help is just... amazing.
If nothing else, it's renewed my feeling of "fun" when making music. Can't wait to get more hardware in the future.
Ayy lmao

I've heard amazing things about Bugbrand. I'd rather go Wiard 300 series if I wanted esoteric modulars, but Bugbrand is definitely cool shit.
I...
um...
Did I just make synth metal?

>>48608070
sounds more like some kind of industrial tbh. very nice, thoguh
>>48608070
If you want to hear some synth metal, try this: http://www.dramacore.com/info/17.htm

>>48607303
pretty confident that ryoji does almost all digital synthesis
of course this is only speculation judging from his aesthetic (transinfinite and his other works have running binary themes) and my ears
>>48608934
Any source on this? Surprisingly difficult to figure out wtf equipment he uses through google right now...
I don't know where else to ask.
Where can I get (besides the youtube video), or which sound library is this iconic 80's sound included in (it happens at the spiral fade, time is 2m09s):

If anon knows, that would be great.
Spent some time finishing the mixing on the song I made for yesterdays thing. Getting better at this, happy to see that it shows. Going to start investing in hardware and get better at piano.
Heres the song. What genre would you say it is? It's pretty generic in some ways, but the structure doesn't really match anything I can think of.

Sample it.
>tfw no decent synths you're looking for coming up anywhere for months
>tfw just want a fucking synth
