alright lads, post your sunday chill tunes
You guys are gonna hate me for this but I'm trying to think of a reasonably obscure electronic album, cover is a ~60's/70's car in focus, generally darkish looking, album name is about halfway down. Album itself is kinda chill, female vocal. Band name is two words about 7-8 characters in length, album name is one. That's all I can remember. Not even sure if it qualifies as /bleep/ but if this rings the bells of anyone they are a lifesaver
Hey, doing some acid when I can find the time during the week. Last time I organised a playlist of chilled out tracks I love, but they were too familiar and I didn't respond to them well at all.
I then chucked on Carl Craig's Landcruising and it was amazing. There was this break at onepoint and I was hallucinating flying down a valley, it was great, the buildups, the breaks, it changed not too often, but often enough that it was interesting.
Anyway, I'm after some good recs, anything really.
I've been going through an UK old school binge lately, hardcore, jungle, acid sort of stuff.
man I really wish I could've gone to Freerotation, heres Objekt's set, lots of high energy stuff feat. many unreleased productions of his
some new Andrew Weatherall + Timothy J Fairplay grooviness
Andrew's Masterpiece mix CD(s) is probably my favourite mix, and its always nice to hrear more of that washed out synthy disco-house style
>Everybody getting their hateboner on for Actress again
Why does he make you all so mad? I'd listen to him over your cheesy 4x4 techno and house tunes any day.
Don't hate, appreciate
whose hyped for Redinho's album?
on thursday they went digital with their own bandcamp
>Before you complain just remember turntables in 90% of clubs around the world do not work properly. More titles up soon, also some exclusives to the site
idk, bitter vinyl collectors, underground elitists, I think Ron has been vocal about wanting to release Vinyl with LIES so considering that he might of thought he had to justify the move
it took long enough, both the label's compilations where released on CD but not digitally, which is pretty fucking stupid
relating to something else but this RA comment applies well to the discussion
>The important thing is that good music is available to anyone that wants it. Plus, most of those vinyl releases are sold out now. So the only people profiting from them are Discogs sharks. This compilation allows Mister Saturday Night to generate more money, pay its artists their deserved royalties and continue to host excellent parties. All of this is good for music, meaning it's good for you and I, the people that enjoy that music.
>However, I do have some sympathy for what you're saying. Some record labels often release 'vinyl only' material that eventually ends up on CD or download. That's disappointing for me because the only vinyls that I buy are 'vinyl only' releases. I'm not a snob, and I purchase a lot of music digitally. I just still love vinyl. But considering the cost involved (postage fees in particular) I need an added incentive to fork out the cash. 'Vinyl only' is that incentive. So I get slightly annoyed when the entire basis of my purchase is nullified.
>And I guess you could argue that it's also unfair on digital DJs in a way. Take Andres' 'New For U' as an example. Many digital DJs would have loved to have supported that track right from the start, but they couldn't and still can't (unless they access to a vinyl rip) Now just imagine if that tracks was released digitally today. It would upset all of the 'vinyl only' brigade because they thought they had something exclusive. But it would also be unfair on digital DJs, because they missed out on that track when it was white hot and are only being allowed access to it now because the record label want to cash in. It's disrespectful. Record labels shouldn't look down their nose at digital DJs until an accountant tells them not to.
>I have no problem with digital releases because I enjoy having instant access to the latest sounds. I also have no problem with 'vinyl only' releases, because I adore vinyl and I appreciate a record label's right to its own ethos and brand identity. I just wish they'd make up their bloody mind about what that ethos is.
I wanna fuck that slag from the apprentice so hard
fuck she'd get it right up the pooper till it fell off

What do you lot think of Rawaat - Day Laborer EP? It's been out a while but I'm just listening for the first time now.
Liking the entrancing feel, nice basslines too.
only listened to it once - didn't really grab my attention all that much, if I'm honest. Should've been rite up my street tho - thought I would love it... i should give it another go.
The third track was a bit boring imo but the title track is pretty banging. This H.S. remix hasn't been too special so far either. So after hearing the whole thing I can see why you might not have been so impressed.
2 pretend lions
I still find it so weird that Sid Wilson from Slipknot appears to be a big Junglist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXOxVd_dZrE
The kid at 7:34 is /bleep/.
Uploaded this for a mate but thought I might as well post it here in case any of you lot want it.
