THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for keeping the /darkshit/ threads going
I'm probably gonna post another when this one 404s. In the meantime, have some /darkshit/:
>Dead When I Found Her
>James D Stark
Asked in the previous thread, but anyone here gonna be catching any of these shows?
If you're in the mood for some mall-/darkshit/, have some Hanzel und Gretyl:
Never said that. Their are dumbasses everywhere... but that doesn't change the fact that VNV Nation are derivative EBM bullshit of the worst kind. They suck live. Their lead singer is a sweaty obnoxious little sweaty pink Shrek looking motherfucker.
Skinny Puppy has always had amazing opening acts; Severed Heads, The Legendary Pink Dots, Godflesh.
Yes. Yes. It Is.
Go listen to real EBM like Front 242, E-Craft, Dive, Die Krupps or hell even Straftanz.
I've listened to at least three of the artists on the list (actually own two Front 242 CDs) and feel no reason to dislike VNV Nation tbh
Aaaaand for those curious what another much-maligned mid-2000s mall-/darkshit/ band is doing these days:
They also recently kicked Blood on the Dancefloor off of their upcoming tour lol, the ensuing e-drama was gold
Just in case you guys thought I was full of shit btw...
And since you're posting such awesome stuff like A Split Second and TSOL I'll shut the fuck up about VNV Nation.
>Oh god. He posted the "C" word....
Yeah I remember hearing about the Goth Cruise back when I was a big Cruxshadows fanboy many years ago
The promo video for the movie about it was gooby as fuck:
At times, though that's what I love about it! And imo it's quite possible to pull off /darkshit/ fashion minimalistically without looking like a Halloween costume or anime cosplay. I think someone gave a pretty good example in an alternative fashion thread on /fa/ not too long ago.
I saw them live back in the day with En Esch on the Naiive tour. Was a bad ass show.
I think they've steadily gone downhill since En Esch left and ol' Captain K and Lucia Ciffarelli are flogging a dead horse.
Their older albums are great though.
I think your mistake was expecting AAIMON to be straight-out witch house without Industrial or Darkwave elements. They have a lot of influence from other genres and are great for pure sweeping otherworldly melodrama imo.
