current topic: grime 2.0 aka nu-grime fka white boi grime vs old school grime
1st for old school is better in every single way.
I do like that new shit though but still.
>faltydl name only on ninja tune and swamp81 releases (contracts?)
>newest release not on those labels is under drew lustman alias
the shady backstory of her/him being his old flatmate is plausible yeah, and her mixes being filled with falty's and same tunes falty is playing out could be just coincidence. and shanghai den's tunes being filled with same type of samples that are even chopped in a way that makes you think if it's just an alter ego of faltydl, you know, he tapped into a quite new vibe with the swamp releases too - what if this a new side-project for r&s
i'm probably just paranoid and over-thinking it all hah
i was quite intrigued by it when drew played it on his boilerroom chat, i think it's promising at the very least. and faltydl's an interesting producer, love how he's so opinionated and able to come up with a trademark sound even if he's chopping same samples jungle and breakbeat head have been chopping for years
he's not tessela or someone churning out "bangers" and with all the noodly jazzy shit can come off like borderline easy-listening, i give you that
