Future's honest is a close second imo
I have the new :
>Awol One and Gel Roc album called the Cloaks.
7/10 album for me with a featuring with Gonjasufi.

>So It Goes
>The New Classic (I know I'm a faggot for liking it)
>is a tripfag
>states an (bad) opinion
>expects anything more than being ignored or talked down upon.
Broken Ankles is probably the best release so far, if only because it's the most honestly hype thing I've heard in a while
CLPPNG is good and definitely beats out midcity but it loses points because of Tonight and the Intro track pretty much being a carbon copy of the intro on midcity. It's good but they rehashed a lot of ideas. like 7.5/10
Oxymoron was kinda disappointing. The singles leading up to it were solid, Break The Bank is still a jam and a half, but everything else on the album just fell flat on its goddamn face.
Pinata might've been madlib's best performance in a long while but I kinda feel like Gibbs was phoning it in pretty hard. Something about his delivery just felt disingenuous.
this one's gonna be good
also the die antwoord album had one good song and the rest of it was forgettable trash. Fuck them for ruining an aphex twin track, and lmfao at the synthpop sounding tracks
Have you enjoyed 1984 & Cult Leader?
I mean, it's going to have one of the last Eyedea verses ever recorded. I'm skeptical about Tech N9ne because he often sacrifices his content for rhyme scheme and rhythm but I'm trying to be optimistic. Sadistik knows what he's doing. Maybe he'll be the Vast Aire of this album.

This is probably the worst post I've seen on /mu/, no joke
eh, opinions dude. rap isn't my main genre so i don't really know what i'm talkin about. just throwin some opinions into the fire before this thread dissolves into another shitfest of people throwing around the m*me moniker
>i've never seen someone refer to production as a "performance"
that was a poor choice of words, like the time i fucked up and said "first press cassette" in some thread. little/no thought gets put into phrasing on my end
i dunno though, maybe i should go back and give it a shot. i listened to it once and haven't gone back to it since. just runnin off memory here
6/10 (Not OK was 10/10 tho)
HHAOTYSF is probably pic related
>YG - My Krazy Life: 3/10
LMAO m8 way to go, that album bumps so incredibly hard, if it wasnt for those 2 bitch songs before who do you love it would be strong 8/10, that way its still at least a decent 7
listening to right now
really good so far
a hundred posts and nobody mentions the best rap record of the year.
