I was at a St. Vincent concert, it was fucking nuts.
First she gets up on stage and reads a passage from some feminist book. She then calls for all straight white males to get to the back walls. I am a straight white male, but I didn't move. A few guys move to the back and some dominatrix like girls come out and press them to the wall. A few other dominatrices came in to the audience searching for others. One asked me and I said I was gay. She bent me over, ripped my pants off, and pegged me. Luckily I have a lot of practice with shoving things up my ass, so I didn't cry. She believed me and let me go. With all the straight white males gathered against the back wall, St. Vincent started playing a simple chord progression while screaming, 'Fuck straight white males! Kill them all!' The dominatrices take out guns that look like dildos and start executing them. People in the audience are cheering as this is happening. The last guy left is crying, so he is taken on stage and crucified while St. Vincent starts performing. He made it through 4 songs before he presumably died or passed out.
Other than that, it was a pretty great concert.

Hi /mu/
I need advice about 'guitar tube preamp'
Story :
I used to play on tube guitar amp, and I like that feeling.
Now living abroad, I can not play anymore on tube amp because of my location/place and had to sell my amps.
I am always using DAW with great amp/cabinet plugin &VST
Honestly it's nice, I can recorded and experiment so much things.
But I am still missing the special and simple 'tube' feeling.
Also DAW/VST are great but so much things to adjust .. it's endless, I sometimes need simple way, just plug and play.
Question :
How to get the feeling and play with real tube amp or preamp at home ? and plug directly on my soundcard / headphone ?
Especially for home studio demo recording / I play mainly clean & crunch (sometimes lead)
From what I heard :
It's possible with a specific setup (such as marshall EL34 or EL84 ?) + something I am not sure .. and these are discontinued products ... I am not sure to find something similar, maybe engl E530 ?
About the 'kemper amp'
Of course I could read a lot about it, and I believe it's great product, just not what exactly I want.
Must be more simple you know
I am little be lost, and I am not sure what should I do/buy.
If you know good system or recommend product, please let me know
(rack device if possible since I am using a rackmounted soundcard - Focusrite Scarlett 18i20)
and .. I know I will never have the real feeling of the loud amp vibration in front of me but still...need something!

obviously you have to like the way it sounds just as with any other amp, but it's quite versatile and does everything from 'modern' clean and punchy high gain stuff to more fuzzy and broken sounding things by using the cascading pre-boost and clipping the shit out of the poweramp
since the good sounding cab sim is post power tubes it sounds great straight to interface even when pushed hard. but it also works well used 'flat' with some redwirez impulses and so on, plenty of room for experimentation, can recommend
