What's her best song?
I've only heard Genesis and Oblivion and I liked both of them
>>74787887
genesis
only here because you didn't put her name and it slipped by the filter
that outfit looks fucking stupid
>Suede breathed new life into glam rock, developing a sound that owed as much to Bowie and Roxy Music as it did to The Fall or Joy Division
>Pulp were exceptional pop songwriters, lead by the most charismatic and intelligent UK frontman/lyricist since Morrissey
>Blur was one of the most adventurous and rapidly maturing pop groups of the 90s and 00s
>but somehow the one Britpop band to become worldwide superstars consisted of a bunch of knuckle-dragging thugs who were only interested in ROCKING OUT, MAN
Why?
by having actually good songs and personality

>popped collar

What do you think of Manson's work?
I like his covers a lot, everything else seems somewhat hit or miss.
i like his first four albums for the fun and catchy pop-metal that they are, would prob be considered minor classics if it weren't associated with manson himself and the edgelord image that he cultivates

He will never surpass Mechanical Animals.
Mechanical Animals was incredible, such a vivid album.
It just sort of captured the whole cyber excitement of the internet as it was just coming of age, all of those songs are pretty great.
Great Big White World is probably my favourite song of MM, it's just so huge.
I'd rank the albums:
Mechanical Animals
Antichrist Superstar
Golden Age
Holy Wood
Portrait
all the others that rightly or wrongly I don't really give a shit about, although I'll give Pale Emperor more attention soon.

THIS THIS THIS
Anyone else hate the day AFTER you listen to a post-rock album, usually a Swans or GY!BE album? There seems to be a penetrating weirdness the day after. It must be like having some sort of cathartic experience or maybe just an odd dream that changes your perspective. It's surreal, and it's also kind of an event. I don't know, I just don't listen to that much post-rock for that reason, on top of it having to be something you're in the mood for.

it's the lingering effects of emotional dishonesty, you'll get used to it
>>74787155
>emotional dishonesty
Can you elaborate on this? It seems like an interesting concept.
>>74787138
Seems like you've been emotionally lied to (by the albums aforementioned).
i mean it JUST IS isn't it?

>not Davis or Coltrane
>>74787077

>Panda Bear has installed a giant mirror in the sky to project Earth's life onto another galaxy.
What did Scaruffi mean by this?
The greatest album of all time
The first 20 seconds of "I'm not" transports me to a realm of pure bliss and unparalleled mesmerizing euphoric sensations
that's...actually a pretty affecting piece of writing by scaruffi, damn

What are some notable merzbow albums? He has such an extensive catalog so which ones are essential or stand out? Also, if you don't like merzbow, just don't post in this thread, dickhead, it's so easy.
Flare gun is a short, fun little burst of noise
Green Wheels and Tauromachine I remember being pretty enjoyable noise.
If you want brutal, Pulse Demon, Venereology, and Akasha Gulva are probably some of the better ones. Akasha Gulva is the most brutal, but Pulse Demon is the one I find most enjoyable.
All of the "remix" albums have really intricate layering. Hybrid Noisebloom and Space Metalizer are the ones I like. They're both pretty exhausting though desu.
Zara is cool
Really short n sweet
And its not only made up of static which is BORING
>>74786872
Thanks, I am listening to pulse demon right now(was when I made the thread) and will check out the ones you mentioned that I wasn't already familiar with. I'm not new to merzbow but have only really own/spent a lot of time with 5-10 of his albums. A few I own on cd, a few digitally. It sucks that pulse demon is out of print on cd, like you, I enjoy it a lot.
Who are the Mayweather v McGregor of music?

Didn't he give a 9 to le super-post-neo-nu-irony man with a guitar in the background?
