I rewatched Angel's Egg yesterday and now I am wondering what the album equivalent would be?
Also general movie/album thread.

I always did
So begin with reddit. You constantly hate on reddit while having the exact same discussions and taste as them. You pretend that /mu/ was better years ago and it's just the normies taking off this board but it's not true /mu/. You're exactly like reddit and always were, face it. Now let's roll into Pitchfork. Which is the second site being hated in here and it is funny because all records on /mu/core essentials are actually pitchfork-core. You discuss about melon and his favorite meme rap, you pretend to be obscure while you're not. When people ask you what music you like then all pretentious people that are here pretend to be so underground that they're afriad to post names of their favorite music so normies wouldn't listen to it. The truth is that it's not actually obscure so you're not posting these names just because you know that people will judge you and make fun of it. You judge people who listen to /mu/core and when someone tries the so-called patrician-core essentials you change it to essential poseurcore. Have you ever liked a band or is it just hype that matters? And when the hype ends you pretend that you never like it. You're pretentious hipsters who pretend that it's not even a thing.
you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today mr grumpy pants : )

That's a great chart. A lot of those albums are top-tier. Why is Ascension on there but not Meditations, though?
>>74761040
You act like there's only 3 people here and they're all in cahoots.
There's /mu/drones and p4kdrones, there's normies and tryhards, posers and plebs.
There's /bleep/ fans and /classical/ fans and /jazz/ fans and /hiphop/ fans.
Then there's also trolls, b8 posters, waifu spammers, /pol/tards and Montie.
Lots of different posters.
Prove you're not a pleb and review the last jazz album you listened to.
Doesn't matter how long or short the review, just put forth a concrete opinion and explain it.
Last album I heard was Moanin' and and I liked the sound and the drums :)
Wes Montgomery - Road Song
Found the LP in the discount bin at the record store, it was the last LP he recorded before dying. Mainly covers of pop songs like Beatles Yesterday and Simon/Garfunkel - Scarborough Fair. Very uninspired and boring, not really much effort in his playing, even Herbie on Piano didn't seem very enthused about it. The title track and Pete Seeger cover at the end were the only listenable tracks.
This was way better than I was expecting because I never liked any of Iyer's trio albums that I have heard. I thought the songs were really good and all the sax solos were amazing.
Somebody yesterday was saying that it was too rock influenced or something. I don't know what he was talking about though. Like yeah a couple of the songs have a backbeat but there's a lot else going on and it seems like most modern jazz has at least some backbeat these days.
>I like to consider myself an artist. I do alternative rock, melancholy indie, all the way down to an old school lyrical boom bap rap, like Kendrick Lamar or Joey Badass, all the way down to a New Age rap like Young Thug, Lil Uzi, and all of them boys. I try to switch up my style as much as possible, because that’s what’s really made me.
Is he the most versatile musician of all time?
I think the biggest issue is that that he does all of those styles with extremely low quality
The only good thing he has ever done was in trap
Is he the Frank Zappa of today?
What am I in for?

well it's about time.
Being surrounded by Germans, I guess.

How do I improve my singing?
https://youtu.be/2SuJxFM94lU
I didn't know Daniel Lopatin does guitar covers
>>74760727
same as guitar. you practice
the easiest thing to do is figure out your "range" (you can just google it there's a couple of tests you can do)
then you practice scales. don't worry about timbre or vibrato, just try to hit the note AND STAY ON THE NOTE.
what we feel is "bad singing" is typically a singer not hitting the desired note or bending out of pitch, not being able to sustain the correct tone.
then you practice simple scales. the whole point is to try and always hit the note.
practicing any instrument will also help improve your singing as it'll make your ears more sensitive to being out of key (in the same way that when you started getting serious with the guitar suddenly you could hear when strings were out of tune).
run down a scale on your guitar and try and sing along to it.
and like guitar (or anything else) it'll probably be a year before you get decent and more than that if you wanna be good.
additionally, if you wanna sound pro and shit then you'll want to worry about vibrato and timbre but that's muuuuuuuch further down the line
