Fuck you
What the hell is going on with this guy?
It's like since he got the Grammy he's been set on churning out graceless, uninspired monstrosities of the "oh-oh-oh!" caliber without a shred of the self-awareness or irony that made his music so iconic.
He's growing old and is a bit stuck in-between styles. Like the rhcp, there's no need for another album, but it gets released anyway.
Morning Phase was a rehash, and the Grammy it received was a latent one that was actually meant for Sea Change ten years earlier.
Modern Guilt was his last album, Volcano a fitting song to close his oeuvre with.

Morning phase out shone sea change. I think morning phase is a modern classic, really forget Odelay, it's an embarrassment.

How do you actually find new music, /mu/?*
Do you just always buy the newest stuff from your favorite bands?
Listen to the recommendation of friends?
Listen to different playlists/radios on the various streaming websites?
*It's such a flood of songs and titles out there, that you can actually get overwhelmed.
I usually look at artists who have worked with artists I already like.
Sometimes in /mu/ sharethreads or threads in general, sometimes RYM year or genre charts, sometimes by chance on the YouTube sidebar or something. I don't use Spotify or pandora or anything like that.
I go through all the stuff of an artist if I hear one of their records, then I find their label and go through everyone on it. Then that genre etc ad nauseum. The hardest part is keeping track of all the music, I write down every new item I get in my library otherwise the amount I take in leads me to forget some of it exists.

Not really krautrock desu.
You could try bands like sun city girls and the opening reminded me of hala strana but it's more of an instrumental/artsy thing.
this is actually folk krautrock but it's also probably not what you're looking for
>>74816910
Isn't Krautrock based on motorik beat? This doesn't have that

There are countless amazing prog albums that were released in the 70', so I personally don't care if it's currently dead.
What did you think of this album, The Soft Bulletin?
Great album. Love the lyrics and the drums have a really unique sound. Definitely one of the Flaming Lips' best albums (if not their best).
Race for the prize is the ultimate air drumming song
Teared up first listen
