Like this?
i need an essential metal chart, i have never listened to anything besides this album, just something a newbie could like... no harsh vocals since i come from hip hop, ambient, folk and math rock
>>74944519
What are some /metal/ approved RYM profiles?
>>74944538
what you mean?
Give Khemmis and Baroness a listen, OP. They're pretty light on the ears while still displaying a sound of heavy riffs.
Electric Wizard's Dopethrone too since they were probably the next big thing to happen to doom metal since Sabbath themselves. They're stuff is a lot more droning and abrasive at points though but they changed the way doom metal sounded.

>>74944282
Is it really that good?
Depends if you like good music. If so, the answer is yes.
>>74944279
yeah
Yeah, but the Kick Inside and the Dreaming are far better.
Two indie bands, adjacent years.
Is this a coincidence or an act of plagiarism?
Come on, the similarity of two has been bugging me for the longest time.
>>74943967
Literally who the fuck cares, Modest Mouse ripped off everything they are from Built to Spill and Communist Daughter is so different lyrically that it doesn't matter how similar they sound
>>74944347
what album exactly did they rip off? I'm not too familiar with Built to Spill
This album is objectively better than most /mu/core albums jacked off so frequently here. If you disagree give a well thought out explaination why that uses specific examples and isnt just "kill yourself"
>>74943884
I don't disagree with you anon.
>>74943884
RAP

Hahahaha
>>74943884
Agreed
Where does the speaker setup sweetspot exist where you get maximum sound quality without becoming a pathetic 'audiophile' manchild that spends too much for negligible difference?
>>74943880
Spending between $200 and $500 on a decent receiver and two speakers. Less than $300 on a decent turntable if you're into vinyl.
>>74943880
active speakers from engineering driven manufacturers like neumann/klein&hummel, genelec, hedd, eve audio, geithain, kii, amphion, ...
constantly pushing what's possible with modern speaker designs, materials, amplification and dsp.
of course you're paying more for r&d with the small quantities they're selling compared to a huge hifi brand but that stuff blows 'high end' brands and their prices completely out of the water.
>>74944095
desu your post reads a bot post that learned its vocabulary from scanning audiophile forums and I have no idea what you're saying
collecting these?
I had a couple in the early 80s, when I was a youth. Mostly shit with occasional gems. Unnecessary now because of the internet.
>>74943855
What a waste of money
>>74943855
No, but collecting things in general is good. We're genetically programmed to want shit and there's something very healthy and satisfying about being able to channel that into a specific type of thing you like. As long as you don't go into fullblown hoarder territory it's great, everyone should collect at least one thing.
That's a pretty fucking weird choice though.

Children of the Korn if anyone was wondering
Is he going to die?
>>74943839
The cat? Yes probably because Moz won't give the poor little cunt any neatly or fish.
Didn't he have cancer or something? Hopefully he doesn't croak anytime soon because the world really needs to have a Moz in it.
>>74943839
I could imagine Morrissey's death resulting in a civil war desu.
