Are there any other albums that fit into this "prog punk" sound?

should I be ashamed of liking eminem?
No. You should be ashamed for needing others approval
If you like anything after MMLP, then yes.
no he's first three albums are great. encore is where he starts to lose me though there are some stand alone tracks from his other eras that i think are alright but nothing beats that golden age.
You may not like it, but these guys are going to be the biggest thing in rock for the coming decade.

Not a bad chart but why is there so much non-instrumental in the instrumental section?
>>74985931
Eh, that's a decent chart. The Burning World should be connected to Love of Life, those two are much more comparable than TBW and Children of God. Also, that sidenote about it being regarded as their worst no doubt would scare off some listener. And no way The Great Annihilator is any lighter than COG. They're about the same sound-wise.
>>74985931
I've always felt that Burning World was a good album. It's just a bit jarring after listening to all of Swan's material before it.
What's this board's consensus on the Rolling Stone magazine?

lets never discuss music ever again
Gucci Mane has an IQ way above the level of genius.
For entertainment, he watches the films of Fassbinder, Herzog, Truffaut, Godard, Bertolucci, Mallick amongst other even more obscure artists. Long known as an avid reader of philosophy he has mentioned Baudrillard, Dubord, Hegel and Sartre among his inspirations.
He understands the hypocrisy of contemporary morality and street culture and has exploited it to become a millionaire.
But why did he get an ice cream cone tattooed on his face?
>>74985655
Because he's so icy. Duh.
Why does his skin look like it has several rough darker patches over it?
Why do the sycophants on /mu/ cream themselves without hesitation over this garbage album?
fuck off jeanine
/mu/ is quite split on this record, anon. if anything the hate is stronger.
You do realize most people were pretty lukewarm/average with the album, right?
Nobody would have this as their top Kendrick album.
Now that the dust has settled, what do you think of Taylor Swift's two new singles?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tmd-ClpJxA
>>74985393
Uninteresting.
>>74985393
Better than everything else that came out in last two years. Tay slays.
>Look What You Made Me Do
I think Taylor and her producers wanted to create something SO FUCKIN SPECIAL that they put too many ideas into a single song. It turned out to be quite unenjoyable and it sounds like a random song from [Your Favourite Disney Channel Series] Halloween Special mixed with some Black Eyed Peas single. I have to admit it's kinda catchy though and the video is a masterpiece plus it made me realize that the lyrics that seemed cringeworthy at first are in fact rather sarcastic. Overall it's 5/10
>Ready For It
I imagine it started like that:
>(Taylor sitting in a studio with Max Martin et al.)
>T: Guys, now all I need is some modern sounding song that will help me cater to urban demographics
>M: What are the cool kids into these days?
>(The intern pulls out latest Migos and DG albums)
Yes, it's cliche, it's a blatant attempt to gain new publicity, it's another white girl who tries to rap but in the end it works really well. Plus I love Tay being a bit lewd
>In the middle of the night, in my dreams
>You should see the things we do, baby

>>74986239
as a black male this is true in public.
in private its diff
Thom Yorke looks just like his music sounds, and he looks like he's been lobotomized and force-fed sleeping pills.
He really looks like deep down, he doesn't want to make music at all, but that his doctors told him it was either that, or chemical castration.
He looks like if he bumped into a chair after stumbling his way through a room, he'd apologize to the chair.
He looks like he's what's called a "philosophical zombie", that is to say a human being with working bodily functions, but absolutely no hint of sentience, awareness or sensitivity of any kind.
He looks utterly defeated, he looks like the kind of man a hundred generations of bureaucratic dictatorship would produce after mercilessly and clinically suppressing all hints of free will and personal ambitions in its population. If he didn't sing, I'd be convinced that the only thing he's able to say is "yes".
He looks numb. He looks so numb it's a miracle he's even alive because someone this numb wouldn't have the degree of proprioception required to keep all his cells together. He'd literally melt into protoplasmic goop, like a big jellyfish washed ashore, like a load of sterilized semen being flushed down, like a gob of spit waiting to dry on a chewing gum-encrusted pavement.
>>74985134
He's an untalented douchebag.
He looks over 400 years oold now lol
He's only like 48
