How did this album not start a whole new genre?
It dosent really fit into any existing genres and nothing else sounds like it.
You would think someone else would try too sound like this but can't find any example of influnce from these guys.
yeah their whole discog is great. The songs are so tightly constructed and interesting. I think part of it is their self-sabotage in their bandname and album structure. Another thing is they were weirder than Pavement but also more accessible than the Residents and kinda ended up in limbo.
my fav band anyway

Which album should i chevk out next from them?

Def check out their Admonishing the Bishops EP. Literally perfect.
Their older stuff leans more towards noise rock while the stuff after Strangers from the Universe is a bit more tuneful and accessible (but still unique)
Allright that last thread was a clusterfuck. So, I'm gonna try to change some rules.
1- The album contains 10 songs only.
2- The songs must be at least 2 min long (5 min max)
3- The songs must be approved by me, so if the song is shit, it will not be included.
4- The album cover must be original and no fuckin anime shit.
The rest is pretty much the same :
Dubs and 5s: song title
42: album name
69: album cover

I'm okay with this
25 years later and nothing has come close to it. Incredible.
Kendrick is objectively better than anybody from the 90s
h-have you even heard DAMN.
one of a few rap albums I can actually listen to start to finish with zero desire to skip a song or a verse. plus the beats are insanely good.
I was at a recent U2 concert. In the middle of a set,Bono stopped playing and asked the audience for total quiet.
Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in anticipation, he said into the microphone, “Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.”
From the front of the crowd a voice with a broad aussie accent pierced the quiet-
“Well, stop fuckin' doin' it then, ya fucking cunt!”

What's the difference between God and Bono?
God doesn't walk around Dublin believing he's Bono.
How many members of U2 does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One. Bono holds the bulb and the world revolves around him.

SINGLE FOR THE NEW RELEASE: https://clyp.it/5yhetnd0
>"She Unraveled The Heavens and The Light Shone Though" is an idea which I've been playing around with since the end of the previous year. The dark startling photography that you see as a cover art caught my attention in the time in which I needed a space to hide myself. After a failed relationship, throwing anger and helplessly trying to get back to it I've decided to put my worries and thoughts on the series of loops, digital and analog, and depressively tried to create something meaningful which would fully resonate and feature the dark days that came. Sadly, the idea had to be thrown out and stopped since I was never satisfied with the results produced. But now it's back.

ITT: Albums from awkward teenage years that you still listen to.
I listened to a lot of 70's punk/pop punk type stuff.
I still listen to it sometimes but not near as much as I used to
First 4 Ramones albums
First 3 Clash albums
First Undertones album
Husker Du - New Day Rising, Flip Your Wig
Green Day up to American Idiot
Rancid
Screeching Weasel - Anthem for a New Tomorrow, My Brain Hurts, Bark Like a Dog, How to Make Enemies and Irritate People
Collage dropout, Laste registration, Graduation
Demon Days is really the only one from those times that I still really dig. I remember when it came out and I would always hear people playing the feel good inc bassline from the music rooms.
