I've been seeing this girl for a month now and things are starting to pick up. She says she wants to know more about me, what I like and dislike etc. and when musical taste came up she suggested we make playlists for each other instead of outright saying "I like x and y a lot." I agreed and now I have a week to find 5 songs.
Thing is I want to use this as a chance to express how I feel about her without saying it too directly but my music is pleb tier so I'm hoping you guys cna help me out. What would your list look like if you were me? Some song recs or something will really help. Bonus points for something something that sounds chronological. I'll be post what I have so far below.
Sing - Travis (stole from The Office)

thats all i got, help please lads.
Considering it has only been a month it is best to include songs with cheesy lyrics and absolutely nothing that contains the word love, you want to let her know that you like her but don't scare her off by taking this too seriously.
There are several songs by Arctic Monkeys that you might check out, I'll drop this bump for you and come back when I found some songs fo you.

Rap

hip hop/rap
in this thread we discuss /mu/core
loveless is mediocore
AOTS is shit
Kid A is an overrated snorefest
All your rap is forgettable shit and the albums are 10 million years long
You don't actually like TMR
MPP is alright, but very repetitive
The only good /mu/core is Pet Sounds, Remain in Light, and ITCOTCK,
>>72519892
>/mu/cucks will disagree with this
>>72519846
While nothing in /mu/core is ear-piercingly awful, >>72519892 is more or less accurate.
ITT: 0/10 albums
>>72519722
I agree with you
>>72519752(You)
Can we have a slowcore thread? I think discussion about this genre is criminally underrated and we never talk about it here and many albums in the genre are 10/10s. What're your favorite albums in the genre? Bands? Anything obscure I should check out?
>underrated
It's not. Mark Kozelek is all anyone wants to talk about these days. And remember when that Duster album was being spammed everywhere?
Codeine is awesome obviously.
Hows the new The New Year? Last I checked they put previews on lockdown and the single was shit.
>>72519785
It leaked about a week ago. I've been enjoying it. Not AOTY by any stretch but enough to warrant purchase, for me.
Stop listening to rap

This is the track I'd delete. Fuck you OP Hell of a Life is good
Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram.
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

Post some good albums from this year that aren't RYM-core, p4kcore, fantano-core. Am looking to support and check out more obscure releases.

pls post the name and artist of this, your filename makes no sense
I initially thought this was a pretty average pop album. But once it grew on me it became one of the best album experienes i've had in a really long time.
What was the last time this happened to you?
I didn't like it. Then I spent some time actually listening to different types of music. Came back, absolutely loved it.
Had an album grow on me? Probably Tago Mago. The first couple of times I thought to myself "I like it, but I don't think these free noise sections are for me" but then a couple of times later I really started to enjoy those two tracks.
It sounded weird and unpleasant the first time. After listening to more post-punk, I realized it's a boatload of fun.
This is what happens when a /mu/tant tries to interview Mac Demarco, I've never cringed so hard in my life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnUSXnz5F6A
