Hello everyone
https://varsas.bandcamp.com/album/hull-ms-r
>dungeon synth, ambient, repetitive melodies
>combined with harsh noise wall
>it's about drowning and accepting your death
>musical contrast showcasing the calmness and power of water
If you hate noise check out my psychedelic rock EP:

the harsh noise overlay doesn't work
it clearly sounds like something added over it with a DAW, instead of being the normal texture of the recording. Sounds fake and doesn't enhance the music.
https://honeybeary.bandcamp.com
>electronic, trip hop, experimental
>sample based ambient beats
Would like some feedback, thx
If you think Gorillaz is anything else than a garbage reddit band pandering to the 15-20 year old liberal nu-male population you should leave /mu/ immediately.
>>72523981
Thanks for the bump but do us a favour and kill yourself.
>>72523994
>us
nu male doesn't mean anything anymore
it's just a catch all for Whoever I Don't Like thanks to /tv/ and /mu/
/mu/'s opinion on the oldest recorded melody? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpxN2VXPMLc

Neo-/mu/, everyone...
I like Bob Dylan but I am sick of listening to Bob Dylan. I would like to listen to more Bob Dylan, but not Bob Dylan. What do you suggest? I tried looking for more folk but I don't think its the style that I am looking for so much as the he writes songs or whatever. not just folk guitar singing
Phil Ochs
Woody Guthrie
The Byrds' many, many covers of his songs
Neil Young
Tallest man on earth for a present day artist with a true-to-self Dylan vibe
Astral Weeks - Van Morrison
Lorca - Tim Buckley
/mu/s opinion on Ian Brown?

Stone Roses debut is one the best albums of all time, their 2nd album is underrated. Never cared for his solo stuff.

check out this cover!

Solarized and My Way are good albums the rest of his solo stuff is pretty mediocre

What are you trying to achieve with this thread op?
PUT YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS ON WHEN YOU SEE THEM HOES
>Classical is music's greatest artistic achievement
>Is used by scientist to make babies fall asleep
Get a lot of this.
>Get a lot of this.
I thought it was used by parents to make their babies more intelligent. Your parents obviously skipped out on that.
>>72523518
only reason why people think that is cause it's old
imagine if Prog was possible back in the 1700s and they made it . Instead of just calling it a load of wank critics would jack off to it just like Classical
>>72523546
My parents made me listen to Webern and Mingus you fucking pleb.
somi live

irene in heels
i cant believe i initially dismissed wjsn for having too members. now i love them all equally and wouldnt trade a single one of them for anything in the world
What are your favourite ambient albums /mu/?
None of them, fuck ambient
>>72523436
I know the first 2 aren't so much, I only really started getting into ambience recently though
>AMSP
Nearly a year since its release date, I'm beginning to think this will become more and more appreciated. I liked it at first, then went on to thinking it's a bit boring, but relistening after a long while I think the quality of this album is seriously understated. Top 3 Radiohead for me I think, what are your thoughts on it nearly a year on?
>>72523432
really bland
It's a masterpiece
it's definitely better than the 4 albums that came before it imo, i'd say its their 2nd or 3rd best honestly
What are /mu/'s honest opinions about this album?
'The Room' of /mu/
What other contenders do we have for Tommy Wiseau?
>>72523355
It's a fun album if you mindlessly enjoy it.
>>72523376
MBDTF
Is this a good place to start with Gas?
>>72523332
fuck no, it's a 2
>>72523338
memes aside
>>72523342
memes aside there are only like 4 or 5 gas albums, just pick one
Why the fuck does /mu/ hate this lovable goofball?
>>72523250
We dont, we hate you, bitch.
>>72523250
we hate his fans
>>72523264
To be fair, the obnoxious fans came from Tyler the Creator.

Dont know if this is being discussed here but the flow of DAMN. in reverse and the themes played in the opposite order feels a lot better than the original order.
Thoughts?
The transition from FEAR to XXX and also the callback on YAH are great. Also both LOYALTY, LOVE and HUMBLE don't feel as out of place when listened to in reverse. The way it flows in reverse is so much better it's ridiculous
There was another theory about cutting it basically in half skipping by one, then listening to the second one in reverse, but I think that it takes that too far.
>>72523159
Listening to this now
Don't know if I believe the theory, but man those transitions are much better.
Also the beginning of the official video for DNA starts with YAH playing
>they are too big to fail
more like only relevant to children who think it is cool to name drop them
they have been garbage for over a decade now.
>>72523065
>posts on a board with 5 Gorillaz threads
I know exactly what kind of "patricians" you lot are.
I like Emperor of Sand.
Blood Mountain is my favourite album and Crack The Skye is their second worst.
