Heya /mu/. I'm terminally ill and getting euthanised tommorow so I came to say thanks for the good times and I also have a request. I'm allowed to listen to music as I die and I want help deciding what should be my last song. So far I've thought of Free Fallin'. Suggestions are appreciated. Pic unrelated.
It's cheesy, but David Bowie - I Can't Give Everything Away as the last song you listen to. The whole song is just such a perfect audible representation of passing. Especially when the instruments crescendo at the end and you're left with that final strumming of the guitar.

Forgot to add, see you in the next life. :)
So whats /mu/ consensus on vinyl? I don't get the appeal of it. Is the quality really better than CD's or mere mp.4s? I've never been a music buff and only have heard vinyl a coupme times way back. Pls no bully.
CDs are much cheaper more useful smaller and are portable. Vinyl is simply an expensive waste of time
>>72529483
data is even cheaper and smaller and more portable
all physical media is a waste of time
That said, record-collecting is fun and gives you a stronger consumerist high than any other format.
>>72529457
Vinyl is fun to collect and retains value over time for the most part
Name a better vidya metal soundtrack.
Protip: you can't
>>72529425
yeah. that last doom had fucking great music. no two ways about it.
but whatever you do, make sure not to watch this omega-cringe video of it being performed live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a9E3n_VZRQ

Already seen it mate. The mixing was so fucked. Huge shame too they played probably the best song in the entire game.
>>72529497
Correction: Forgot they played several songs there. I just remember how terrible BFG Division sounded.
Why is Krautrock so "hip" compared to prog when it's just edgier prog rock?
>>72529335
it's groovier
it's better

It's less tacky
Hello, I'm not going to give too much away but my uncle works for Radiohead
The next Radiohead album will be released in 2020 and it will be a britpop album much like the Bends, i have first hand knowledge that Thom has been listening to a lot of U2 recently and this has inspired the band to come up with lots of great ideas for many great catchy songs already, many of which are already practically finished, the band is really excited about going back to their roots, and in fact lots of the tracks on AMSP were already kind of pushing in this direction
i am not trolling, screencap this post
DROPPED
>>72529314
like literally the only good radiohead song is Creep, so who gives a literal fuck?
Thom would never listen to U2

>be me
>go to record store because they have went out of business and and are foreclosing the day after
>massive sale on records, pick up bowie and king crimson vinyl
>notice chad and his girlfriend, “rose” ahead of me in line
>pretentiousnormiename.jpg
>they complain they’ve searched all over the store for the latest weeknd record
>cashier tells them in a broken eurofag french accent to search the pop section or rhythm&blues section
>they search again, to no avail
>they come back and do their spiel
>french cashier walks to the r&b section, finds starboy vinyl and says
>weeknd be here rose, just for one day
this is a good thread
>Robert Wyatt is one of rock's true geniuses.
>His private persona erupted on Rock Bottom (1974), one of rock music's supreme masterpieces, a veritable transfiguration of both rock and jazz. Its pieces straddle the unlikely border between an intense religious hymn and a childish nursery rhyme. Along that imaginary line, Wyatt carved a deep trench of emotional outpouring, where happiness, sorrow, faith and resignation found a metaphysical unity. The astounding originality of that masterpiece, and its well-crafted flow of consciousness, were never matched by Wyatt's later releases.
Do you agree with Scaruffi? Is Rock Bottom/Robert Wyatt great?
the fact that
>smooth jazz with muppet voices
wow yeah greatest masterpiece wyatt4ever
Rock Bottom is god damn fantastic. That said Scaruffi isn't right about much else.
alright sure

How exactly is K.A.R.D "gaypop"? Piss off with your buzzwords, kid.
Also, I don't care about some group biting that outdated j-pop sound.
>>72528359
Closer was good, but otherwise they are another generic, cookie cutter pop group where every song sounds the same.
K.A.R.D innovate, OMG don't.
