I prefer Spiderland to any Jazz or Classical composition. The first rock album since Trout Mask Replica to be complex and utterly amazing.
Since this is a Slint thread, is there anybody on /mu/ here with any bootlegs from the band? I'm having no luck finding shit that isn't the 1989 Chicago IL bootleg.
Trying to find a download for pic related but doesn't seem to be anywhere.
The fucking holy grail of bootleg would be a good recording of King's Approach from the 2005-07 reunion tour they did.

I love his work, but Beat the Champ was fucking stupid. As a concept, it was rather sound, but the overall execution was more than vanilla. I strongly prefer his minimalist/more acoustic work. As a writer, he's a phenomenal lyricist. There are few writers, even in poetry, that can write to his caliber.
I'd highly suggest his Black Pear ep
Beat the Champ was their 2nd best album so far.
What equipment do I need? I got a job and after paying for certain necessities such as food and travel I will have approximately 380 pounds left by the end of the month for free personal use.
With that in mind what equipment do I need? I know its quite a low budget but I'm willing to be cheap starting off making music. I already know I need a usb microphone, but what else?
Thanks in advance.
Btw I'm making rap music.
>>72562579
>What equipment do I need?
>I'm making rap music.
Literally just a computer or smartphone. You don't even need to be a good lyricist. Just get a stupid neck tattoo, dye your hair pink and cut it like a faggot, wear a tight polo and sag your pants. People will listen to your god awful garbage ironically. Rap is a pleb genre for morons.

Where can I find more bands that incorporate turntables and sampling in similar style to DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbfto_IYLus
The closest thing I can think of is Linkin Park and even that doesn't really match what Limp Bizkit brought to the table during "Significant Other" and "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all $".
Where can I find more music like this?

Stuck Mojo

These threads intend to initiate discussion and posting about funk, soul, disco, gogo, breakbeat and all the groovy music you don't see mentionned in other threads

>One guy comes up to me
>"Hey anon, this is pretty cool. But next time. Can you check with me before using my phone. But's it ok dude"
>Imediantly leaves party
Why is there a thread always talking about playing any type of strange music will make normies piss their pants. I literally played Death Grips and it didn't do anything. I wanted to confuse normies. But that didn't happen because /mu/ is a lying piece of shit.
Do you call it a normie party because you're an aspie?
they were probably already drunk and fucked up to care
>playing a Death Grips song from their most accessible album
>trying to be an edgy shitlord
>getting annoyed when "normies" actually like what you like
So you didn't play a song because you wanted others to enjoy it and share your tastes, potentially opening up discussion and leaving happier and better connected? You just wanted to aggravate people having a good time because you weren't?
BOO. NOT COOL
Is Astral Weeks better than Moondance /mu/?

get out pleb
You know the drill, listen to album posted below yours. You have to prove that you are listening to it (post screenshot, link to your last.fm) and thoughts on it after you finished it, Because just posting without discussion is ass. No /mu/core, entry level /mu/tant or albums that last forever, keep it under 5 hours at least.
>f-fuck the rules
Fuck off to a chart thread, then. If you are going to post in here and don't like the genre you got then fuck off. Don't fucking just drop an image with no visible album/artist because the reverse image search doesn't work all the time, if you can drop a YouTube link even better.
If you can't think of anything to share, got something that's garbage and want to be spiteful and ruin someone's day, want to find something similar to what you got, or actually got something good and want to pass it along use these sites:

just ignore off-topic posts.

I read the comments and many people wrote that the girl from the video was dead...
Anyways, what are some of their best songs or at least their best albums if they have one because they seem like a shitty band that an emo teenager would listen.
>>72561742
The Poison was their best.
And yes, BFMV's Poison was for kids too hardcore for Linkin Park but not enough for Slipknot.
>>72561860
Do you like them or you used to like them?
I personally do not like them, but it's cool that you do. If you like them, you might be interested in bands such as I Prevail, Slipknot and Amity Affliction.
I dont know too much about these bands but my friend who listens to them enjoys them as well as BFMV
