Great picks.
Just stuff I've been listening to recently
>>72568874
Nice picks. Been relistening to Wish you were here and it still holds up really well.
>>72568964
Whats the album with the chick called? I feel like I've seen it before somewhere. Otherwise good picks
okay /mu, i have a problem. i am very inexperienced with a guitar. never played one. i have and electric guitar and i want to lear/dick around with it. problem is the amp doesn't sound "electric" it just sounds like a acoustics sound was boosted. it doesn't have that "rock sound". any help?
>>72568849
what amp is it?
>>72568867
A peavey rockmaster
>>72568937
>peavey rockmaster
Turn up the gain to taste. Turn down the volume as it gets too low. If that doesn't work post a pic of your amp.
Why does /mu/ hate The Beatles so much? Is there some inside joke I'm not getting?
you mean The shit
>>72568821
Its cool to hate the beatles because normies of all sizes like them.
How do people make cover songs? How do people manage to take a song that's perfect in one genre and make it sound just as good in another genre? Is there like a science to it?
You have an imagination and creativity. Really it.
>>72569039
But isn't that stemmed from some kind of science?
>>72569141
No. I do covers of songs and it just kinda happens. Ill hear a song and a cover of it will just play in my head and im like "oh hey that's cool". Or ill just hear a song, play it on the piano, the just rearrange it and create something new. Knowing chord theory helps a lot though.
Objectively the weakest bowie record from the 70s excluding pin ups
*strongest

JJust one reply to remind me how Amazing (shit) mu is
>>72568731
Lol next you'll be saying Heroes sucks too because it isn't lame glam rock
Was this album the best he's made?
>>72568826
here's your answer.
>>72569055
What answer?
I'd say so. The drums on this album are probably the best produced of any mainstream electronic record
Not gonna lie, former Mark supporter here. This is fucking hilarious watching Mark crash and burn. But in all seriousness, we can't let this guy near the Panera Bread.

What do you think of them? Best albums? Worst albums?
Best: Tie between Closer and Unknown Pleasures.
Worst: Tie between Closer and Unknown Pleasures.
Neither of their studio albums are good (more than half of each is filler). I guess Substance is the best way to hear them.
I kind of like that their best songs aren't on their albums

Stars of The Lid - And Their Refinement of the Decline
Brian Eno - Music for Airports
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
Klaus Schulze - Mirage
Ashra - New Age Of Earth
Tim Hecker - Ravedeath 1972
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works (both volumes)
Windy and Carl - We Will Always Be
The Tree of Life OST - Alexandre Desplat
Bladerunner OST - Vangelis
Diamanda Galas - The Litanies of Satan

All of these I've handpicked from my collection as my very favourite ambient albums. There are some classics and some hidden gems in there but all are amazing. Get them.
