>A conceptual release about one relationship and it's slow disintegration
I hope you'll enjoy this release. It took way too long to make it a reality.

fuck twice
I've only listened to the first half of californication a few years ago and I liked it, but then I got bored about midway through.
I'm considering revisiting the band but I'm not sure if it's worth the time.
if you have a deathwish, go ahead #rhcp

80s albums are basically funk punk
BSSM is funkier, great one
OHM more psychedelic, great one
Californication, im not very high on this but it has its moments.
By The Way, a more melodic Californication, good.
Stadium Arcadium is too fucking long, some good songs but 2 hours is exhausting. Frusciante does whatever he wants with his guitar here.
There is no special appeal, they have made good pop songs for a long time and are famous because of it.
It's fun. It's always struck me as very "cool" music, in that sense of like, "cool, bro! yeah!"
The singles are very consistently good, the album songs are a little more hit-and-miss but still some gems. as already mentioned, BSSM is really really good, it's pretty long but super consistent and enjoyable.
Also, the Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie is F U N K Y

Best V.U song go
Sister Ray for me
rock & roll
if we're including solo works by members, Satelite of Love is the best.

>Satelite of Love
it's not even the best on the album

dont you dare say that perfect day or walk on the wild side are better
Android stock music app fucking blows. What music app does /mu/ use?
My own app.

This
>follow some friend of friend's spotify account
>meet at party, tells me he really 'likes my spotify'
>start talking about music, find out he pretty much is entry level fantano core (DG, clipping etc.), but wants to expand taste
>tell him that I'll make a rec playlist
>2 months later, check his spotify and my shit is everywhere
feels good guys. I'm shaping this dudes taste.
Did you at least offer him a blowjob?
I wish I had an experience like this.

>using spotify
Why so many bleeps come in pairs?
>He thinks music is subjective
>>72578892
List the objective qualities then.
>>72578899
Instrumentation, timbres, key signature (or lack of), structure
>>72578928
People mean that music taste is subjective, not the mechanics of music. Two people can have opposite opinions on a given timbre and they would both be correct (e.g. some people love noise music and many hate it)
Thoughts on this? I personally think it's great
was pleasantly surprised i liked a few of the songs a lot
solid comeback
AOTY
Anyone here listen to Ocean Grove? I think they deserve to be Australia's next major numetal band or hardcore blanket band for that matter. Thoughts?
>>72578693
>that promo pic
"no"
>>72578693
Everything's an ironic comedy act now isn't it
>>72578696
>>72578736
fuck me for thinking i could have a decent discussion on a band on /mu/ more worried about how a band looks then how they sound. Pretentious idiots
So how long are the tracks on this album actually? Every source gives different results. Sometimes the first track is 16:33 minutes long, sometimes it's 17:21. I don't get it
Does it matter?
>>72578633
Yes, I don't want to listen to the "wrong" version of the album because of my autism
>>72578645
The longer version is more likely to be correct
So am I right in thinking that apart from the generals, /mu/ is pretty much a hub for 16 year year olds now?
[pic related: the average /mu/ browser now]
>>72578575
My brother is 16 and browses this shithole, he thinks he is the coolest shit spouting out Death Grips and Fantano memes and badly trying to play ITAOTS on guitar
>>72578607
/mu/ was bad three years ago
now it's just totally unrecognizable
