Holy fucking shit. You guys weren't kidding, this actually is the greatest pop song of all time, maybe even the greatest SONG of all time.
Fucking brilliant. Has pop as a genre ever even fucking come close to this genius?
How the fuck have you not heard Good Vibrations until now, even without specifically choosing to? It's been used in countless films and advertisements.

I actually got tired of listening to Good vibrations because of all the commercials and movies

Why is the 3rd track always the best?
because you haven't listened enough music yet
It isn't.
It isn't, the fourth or fifth are always the best ones

Can we have a thread based on Unsettling music?
The more obscure, the better.

I know it's not obscure and might not be totally unsettling but i love unsettling music and i would be glad to bump this thread
Pelt - Ayahuasca
What are some good bands/albums that have descriptive lyrics? With even my favorites, I have a hard time with the imagery depicted by the lyrics. It's almost dream-like; just a stream of images with no real cohesion or unifying concept.
But, with Spiderland, it's like I'm fucking there.
I AM at the top of a roller-coaster with Madame Zeroni in a cool, autumn while gazing at the attractions dotting the landscape with the smell the roasted nuts wafting around me.
I AM gripped with social anxiety, battling my apprehension to mingle with my peers but also longing for the comforts of seclusion and the sweet embrace of death.
(I'm aware of the esoteric qualities of these songs, but a surface level observation evokes extremely vivid imagery.)
Any other groups out there that have mastered lyricism, /mu/?

What is the most complex, articulate and spiritual meta-psychedelic-prog-noise album, and why is it pic related?
This album was the first meme.

>inb4 not serious
Totally. Mars Volta comes close but this broke the barrier with its multi layered ironic mysticism.
It fucking shreds too.
Its a shame the singer sometimes sounded like he had a loaf of bread stuffed in his throat live
