Hello /mu/,
I'm from /o/ and I got a question for you guys :
What do you guys think of funk music ?
I got a collaboration offer for someone to host a gig on a local radio and I was thinking of playing some funk as I'm huge fan of funk. Also, if people are positive about this forgotten genre, we could start a stand-alone funk radio station.
So, funk is yay or nay ?
Thanks /mu/

Lets talk about the man, the myth, the legend, the godfather of soul, originator of funk, James Brown.
Favourite albums, songs, era, style?
Live at the Apollo is the best live album ever by a lot. Best performer ever to boot. Seriously, his live songs are all better than the studio versions
>>72732355
dunno about albums, but his early 70s output is the best imo...his early (papas got a brand new bag, plesepleseplease,) stuff hasn't aged as well
>>72732393
I adore his early stuff. But I love 50s and 60s RnB. It's so charming
who is the best female artist?
Inb4 Grimes

is this post-punk or protopunk?
It's basic classic rock. Sparks is more punk than Television.
Damn...
btw what the fuck is "Art Punk"? How is that genre not covered by New Wave and Post-Punk?
