Last night. Charlottesville @ the Jefferson. Animal Collective was fucking awesome. New version of Sweet Road was pretty damn awesome!

They also played Bees, but Bees sucked. they literally just threw a 4 on the floor beat over it...didn't sound very good.
>>72909663
I thought it was cool sounding, it gave me a weird Company Flow vibe
>>72909716
I didn't like it, the guitar chords didn't match rhythmically at all with the beat, Avey was forcing his vocal measures to carry the flow of the song. I was groovin' to it I guess but it was the worst song out of the set in my opinion.
Sweet Road though....so fucking good.
Fight me
No, new wave, post punk and pop were great in that time.
objectively true
I used to play in hair rock bands in the 80s. Good times

BRANDON
Why don't classical musicians play by memory?
A rock band plays by memory and according to classical snobs, rock artists are beneath them
Play without your sheet music then ya fuck
rock bands generally play simpler music and don't have nearly as big of a repertoire
also classical music has a lot more dynamics and nuances that are integral to making music sound good with multiple people playing different parts at the same time
>>72905440
>muh complicated nuances
Jazz does it all pretty well and they don't even know what they're gonna play when they start their set
>>72905463
>05463
you really think they're just playing random notes that come to their mind when they play improv?
discussing music technically is pointless on /mu/ with people like you who don't know shit about shit
>"Piggy"
>Nothing can stop me now
>"Ruiner"
>You didn't hurt me, nothing can stop me now
>"Big Man With A Gun"

What's his problem?
>>72905317
>What's his problem?
he cant be stopped
he wanted to be part of the idem club
>>72905317
He got 99 problems but being stopped ain't one.
Anyone else still shocked? I'm not sad or upset but it just seems surreal and very hard to comprehend that someone like that would kill himself, though it's easy to say that from the outside looking in.
You don't know what was going through the guy's head. No one did. This caught everybody by surprise.
I just started wondering what his phone and internet history is. What if someone on 4chan told him to kill himself.
Have none of you listened to the lyrics on those Soundgarden albums? He's always been fucked up. It's sad but guys like that really can just go any minute.
