You're the only one responsible for your own happiness.
Would this album have sucked less if it had half the songs? Felt like too much filler
I think if you delete Carnival, Let Me Out, Sex Murder Party, and Ticker Tape--you get an 8/10 album instead of a 7/10. Some of the songs mash together in similar sound like Momentz & Strobelite, but aren't trash. I like the high club energy going for it, even though 2D should've been had more of a presence.
I'm excited to see what the Super Deluxe edition has to offer for Humanz.
Not really no. I think the throwing shit against the wall approach helped a lot honestly
It just needed its best moments to be a lot better than they are, so getting rid of anything wouldn't have helped.

Who would've thought?
Let's settle it once and for all: this is their best album.
It's creative and experimental, yet approachable. It's easy to listen to but very nuanced. It's balanced and consistent.
>inb4 Maxwell's Silver Hammer
On it's own it's not the best Beatles song but it's a good, fun, feel-good song that balances the mood after the more tender Something.
Abbey Road is the most diverse Beatles album. You get some typical Paul-core, which is balanced between John's more hard rock takes and George's sweeter takes and Ringo's easy going Octopus' Garden.
Prove me wrong.
The White Album is better but Abbey Road is second best

if i make an albums with like 100 songs and only 30 of them are good that doesn't mean its better than an album with 10 good songs

I recently checked out this album and it's really great. Been spinning it nonstop all week. They seem to have a pretty decent following but I think they're at least somewhat underrated as a whole.
Anyway, this thread's for underrated or overlooked hip hop artists or albums from the 90s.
I've been going through a LOT of 90s hip hop (here's my progress). The most underrated is Digital Undergrounds album and 'Do You Want More?' by the Roots.

If you're see them on the tour, would you prefer MLK or Bad in slot 4?
I'd take Bad hands down; love MLK, but Bad is such a great, anthemic live song.
The tour has gotten a lot better in my opinion. Night one in Vancouver was weak. They've added Bad and I Will Follow to the setlist, but need to cut the shoehorned political crap from the beginning of songs like Ultraviolet (which doesn't even fit with the song thematically).
>>72836335
I'll bet I Will Follow was scheduled for Vancouver but had to be cut after the delays due to noise ordinances.
I agree the political stuff with Ultraviolet doesn't really fit, but I'm just glad it's on the setlist at all, I was too young to see it on 360
Holy shit. I just found this album last night and was blown away... I need more like it, the spoken word and the no cryptic bullshit lyrics. Straight to the point, rambly but I need more of it.

My AOTYSF, I actually prefer it to Sun Kil Moon but the lyrics and instrumentation are reasonably similar.

Why does anon pretend to like girls?
So they can get away with pretending to like you.
The first track is so fucking good
>I never knew you, you kneeew meeeee.
>Not like you knew meeEEeee
Kinda sucks that there isnt a better moment on this album.
Any other thoughts on this album before p4k gives it a 10.
Bloc Party - Signs
Fleet Foxes are pretentious trash and take themselves way too seriously. Flooding the mix like they do is just distracting.
where to the album
Why is he heralded as some sort of musical demigod?
Despite the decent production on his albums and some mildly catchy hooks I've always found his music, and specifically his lyrics; trite, overwrought, redundant, and tawdry/try-hard.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate him or his music. I just think he is supremely overrated.
How do we feel about Reznor on /mu/?
I'm not disagreeing that he is those things, but I would say that's part of the appeal. He makes it work, being overwrought is like his thing.
Tront
is that you?
Are you guys finally admit that this is one of this year's best albums?
P4K and the melonhead already gave it a good score, it's okay guys, you can come out of the closet now, it's okay to like Paramore now
Nah
It's okay, it's not bad I would say, but it's not great either.
>yfw I already liked Paramore and think this album is boring as fuck
I thought they would do better, legit disappointed.
I genuinely liked this album, love the youthful sounds and vibes from it, remind me of my high school years. Not really a fan of Paramore, but this really was an interesting album, i enjoyed it.
Not sure if it is one of this years best, that's up to you.
