Who's the greatest lyricist of all time and why is it this guy?
Lyrics are the least important thing about music. If I cared about good wordplay I'd go read a book.
>crapper
>best lyricist
>>73027767
>reading books as a negative
Are you black?
Is this the most forgettable collab in history?
I wish she would "collab" with me

I know 'help me find this song' threads are frowned upon, but I'm trying to help my mom find a song.
She was recently hospitalized and suffered several traumatic experiences while being treated. Listening to the radio is one of the only things she had to cling to to survive... They played a Boards of Canada song, something mellow with a woman's voice in the background throughout. Not too much percussion, a relaxing piece. I've skipped through a bunch of their albums and songs but I can't find it.
My mom is a sweet woman and she's suffered a lot, I don't know how long I'll have her around but I want to buy her the CD. If I can't find an answer here I'll listen through all their albums myself but I wanted to try and see if it sounded familiar to anyone here.
Also I love the idea of getting my mom into /mu/sic, she's usually too sick to do anything but watch tv or listen to music. So feel free to add any recommendation you think a 55 year old woman would like.

The Devil is in the Details?
>shitty request threads are now so commonplace that they come with their own shitty sob stories
>>73027653
I'm sorry. Listen, I'm desperate. Anyone that finds the song can choose an album that costs around 10 bucks and I'll buy and post it up for everyone to have.
So from here on out, please post what album you'd like with your suggestion!

She said no, she said it was mainly a woman's (but could have been androgynous dude I guess) voice
What would be a fitting aesthetic to this album?

Sitting on a bed the day after having a great party with your rich gay friends and looking out of the window of the mansion and realizing that your boyfriend who you cheated on in the party was cheating on you so you feel confused, sad and adventurous/nostalgic.

Admit it, he's wrong all the time, but you like hearing someone acknowledge your favourite albums and you love him for that
I think he's pretty spot on and can look at albums past the hype.
He can't be wrong, they're his opinions. He says so in the video.
>>73027905
By that logic, he can't be right either. Since those are his opinions. Thus anything he says means nothing
Misunderstood genius or overrated hack?
Handsome dude with a unique voice in the right place at the right time

I enjoy his early rockabilly stuff but have no interest in anything else.
>Before his death, Elvis was estimated to have consumed 100,000 calories per day. The basic element of Elvis' daily food intake was a 30-cm long bread roll, stuffed with bacon, peanut butter and strawberry jam. Each one had 42,000 calories, and in his final days, he ate two of them per day, together with little midnight snacks of hamburgers and deep-fried white bread.

We talk about pleb filters all the time, but what are some contrarian filters in music? (Things that people hate or like to look impressive)

metallica
deafheaven
mumble rap as a concept
I can't find any guitar legend defining what the vertical lines between the notes are. Could any anons tell me what they are called or what technique this illustrates?
Are you retarded?
>13 electric guitars
This some fucking power metal solo? lol
i've never seen that before, but i'm assuming it's two guitar parts and the vertical line is separating what each guitar plays.
that's a really fucking stupid way to write it though
Holy shit...
emphasis on the "shit"
>>73027231
you're so cool dude
>>73027250
He's also right.
What a disappoint this album was.
ITT: albums that will make you cooler by listening to them
>I'm tired of PornHub, I'm tired of my Tinder account
what did he mean by this?
it means that he's becoming a shittier lyricist overtime.. shame, i love his work.
>>73027188
did he actually say this
Who is the best band in the world right now and why is it Foals?
Foals are really bad and Yannis is annoying
>>73026977
