Is anyone else still flabbergusted that the mad men from down under managed to create a one-two punch of the greatest electro-dance-hop party records one decade after another?
How did they do it? Will they be back in the 20s?
they said new album early 2018

What's some of your favorite bunglecore artists?
Explain the term Bunglecore. Just artists that sound like Mr. Bungle? What rules are set to determine this? I am confused.
>>73211495
Did somebody say quick rundown?
SC3 has always been one of the most godly live shows you can see.
Estradasphere was great.
Some of Tubring's stuff was good.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum wasn't that hot.
That DEP ep that Patton sang on was fantastic.
Dog Fashion Disco shouldn't even be mentioned.
Incubus kinda stopped cribbing from Bungle right after the Enjoy ep.
Trevor Dunn plays great masturbatory jazz.
Ches Smith has lowkey been one of the best studio/live drummers of the last decade.
>>73211546
I think Bunglecore is comprised of two things.
One being all of the projects that Mr. Bungle's members are associated with, like Secret Chiefs 3 and Fantomas.
The other is all other artists that are inspired by Mr. Bungle and/or follow a similar aesthetic and modus operandi in their music. Someone can explain this part better but I don't think there are any specific rules really. The music will just undeniably feel like bunglecore if that's what it is.
Where do/did you go to college and what is your favorite album? I go to William and Mary

Are there any modern hardcore bands that sound like 80s hardcore bands?
>>73211367
Probably.
That sound should stay back in the 80's though.
All of them.
Punk has made no sonic or thematic progression whatsoever since the early 80s.
Black Veil Brides
AE thread
how do you feel about them using Max/MSP so exclusively nowadays?
I've been listening to AEs discography chronologically over the last few weeks and I've just listened to Draft for the first time. I think Confield is the best out of the ones I've listened to. What's your guys favourite release?
>>73211482
for me it's probably Untilted or Quaristice.
>>73211583
Does Untilted carry on the sound from Draft? If so I will love it lol
What is that one personal album that no one knows about, and you want to share with the whole world?

What is the deal with dead mau five?
Is this bland house just normie garbage or am I missing out on something?
Even with drugs in me, I'd rather listen to rimsky-korsakov's scheherezade.
he's an underrated IDM artist
I'm deadly serious
it's kind of about the progressive vibe, I guess you have to be a certain kind of person to be into it
most people just dismiss him as dorito-tier monstercat-core
no, you're spot on with "bland house" and "normie garbage"
>>73211059
>dead mow five
>"intelligent dance music"
Don't tell us your guilty pleasure albums, tell us those elements that you feel guilty about enjoying.
>off-key harmonies

So we can all agree this is their worst, right?
>>73210783
weakest of the trilogy definitely
still a quality album on its own
>>73210783
nah its good. just the rape accusations ruined any solid fair review on this
no, greed is their worst. the glowing man is amazing.
How would you rank her discography ?
Poorly
probably from best to worst over chronologically, but i am a pretty unconventional guy

Have One On Me - 8/10
Divers - 9.5/10

>>73210629
Hotline Miami, Shadow of the Colossus, Chrono Cross, Red Dead Redemption, etc...
Who's your favorite vocalist /mu/?
>>73210617
On a purely subjective level I'd have to agree with Jon Anderson. I have no fucking idea what was up with his voice, but whatever it was, I like it.
Norah Jones, its so special to me and she gets right through my ears and straight to my heart.
Second up there is Linda Perhacs, for similar reasons.
P4K fags would give any alt-j release a 0 if they could. Biased undeserved review.
>>73210590
Fuck you I like it.
>>73210590
Why does p4k have such a hate boner for alt j? I mean, they're not amazing or anything, but they're not fucking terrible as the score they get imply. An Awesome Wave is at least a 7
