Is he actually that good, how creative do you have to be to perform repetition?
>>73216088
It's the use of repetition that makes him interesting. Usually repetition is a negative aspect of music where as with Reich, he (and the majority of minimalist composers) embrace it to a great end
Also to add more creativity, his use of phase difference in music is extremely creative
Okay /mu/ I need some help. I need to write a paper on rock and roll music history, one specific aspect about it. It can be pretty much anything, from a person, to technology, I just need to have tracks to show the influence. I just don't know jack about what to write about. I can research fine but can any of you give me any ideas on what to write about? I'd appreciate the help a lot.

Do your own homework, you lazy cunt.
>>73216013
I intend to, this isn't for a music class it's a writing class, there's been nothing taught about music or anything related to it. I just don't know a good topic to start with because I don't know much about music.

Why not write about someone like the Allman Brothers Band...who influenced them and who they in turn influenced in their 45 year career
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Allman_Brothers_Band
Very timely considering Brother Gregg's recent passing
What does /mu/ think of the Flaming Lips?

Best live show I've ever been to. Anyone who's a fan should see them at least once.
Hate 'em!
If I ever hear that song about the little girl who fights the pink robots ever again I swear I'm gonna go all Columbine on the fucking world!

Is Carly Ray Jetson the most ambitious artist of our time?
Have any of you ever approached your musical inspirations IRL?
In a few weeks my favourite band will be coming to my city. Usually I'm pretty good at talking myself into places, backstage etc. I really want to give them a letter in person and have said I would do it for years if they ever come here. Have any of you done this? Successfully?
can't say that I have, but that's one fucking nice kitty right there
just don't be autistic
bring a friend, there'll be other guys wanting to do this too and there may be slim chances of you being able to do this so get in there quick
but also, be sure to remember that meeting your heroes can be a disheartening experience and more often than not, you're likely to end up disappointed
weeatnoise can anyone define this kind of music?any similar projects?

Go shill somewhere else.
bandcampshillcore sounds about right to me
fag

the cringeworthy vocals remind me of blueshit, idk how i ever found them
you might enjoy it (unless this isn't just a very bad attempt at shilling your own project)
