What does /mu/ think about Now that's what I call music?
>>73291586

I don't know the name of the group. The title is A.D.A.M., and the tracks are A.D.A.M. I; A.D.A.M. II; A.D.A.M. III etc,
Anyone know the band?

I know people who listen to nothing but this and they don't have a name for the sound. Is it going to be one of those things like buttrock, where we don't have a name for it until it's no longer cool and people want to mock it?

tumbler
>Is it going to be one of those things like buttrock, where we don't have a name for it until it's no longer cool and people want to mock it?
how underage are you. people were calling midtempo post grunge like Creed, Nickelback, and the Calling buttrock while they were popular. it's just trap influenced electropop. the boring mix of all the shitty popular music at the moment. another shitty trend. that last song you posted is also catching the tail end of the big "tropical house" trend.
>>73291576
I don't know man. I was born in 92, so I was a kid when all that stuff was popular. I remembered hearing people saying buttrock later in the life of that movement.
There comes a point when a stupid unoriginal sound gets done so much that they make a word for it. We don't just call punk fast, rebellious rock. You remind me of those people that kept saying dubstep wasn't a new genre because it was just slow dnb.
>I got a fuckton of money
Wow, deep
HE IS A GENIUS
you just don't understand because you're a fedora le wrong generation fag
you have to feel the PRODUCTION
it stands for cool calm and cohesive btw

In this phrase we see the genius Kanye using money as a symbol that uses fuckton, an urban and strong word that represents weight, to describe how having money has become a heavy weight, a burden in his life. We can see as well how he plays with words, and removes the k from the word monkey. He's got money and it is a weight that has attracted monkeys (people that's not real). That's how we can conclude that Kanye is the better artist of the last two millenia, surpassed only by Jesus, wich Kanye rightfully references in his album Yeezus.
>>73291462
I don't think he ever said that.
Okay, let's try this again. I'm the anon from two days ago looking for this album. here is the post
Need some help bros. There is an album I'm looking for that was posted here a few months ago, and I forgot its title and who composed it. There are a few things I remember, so hopefully you guys can helo out.
>Minimalist genre, very slow moving music
>about three tracks. The first one is about 21 minutes long, or something like that.
>Album cover, I remember being blue buildings with yellow dotted lights, I always thought of it as eating dinner on a terrace at night. I think there is some orange there as well.
>I think there were two composers? Either one or both sounded European, but I can't remember
Please help. It's killing me that I don't remember. Thanks :)
anyways, some more stuff I can remember. It's sort of like pic related, but it's more synthy. It gives off a really lush opening that takes its time.
(sorry the thread died, I got really busy, but now I have time to sit down and figure this out.
Reminder for you hipster faggots that folk punk is not real punk.

Even if the title track is way overplayed, this is still a fantastic album.
It's an okay album but it's incredibly overrated

Kanye West is known for many things, including the song "Power", in which he sampled "21st Century Schizoid Man", by King Crimson. After a brief delving into Schizoid Personality Disorder, one could relate West's behavior to the psychological label of SDP. Was this a moment of self-awareness being expressed into art? Also, which other artists exhibit behavior indicative of psychologically-labeled "disorders"?
add. Does being an (artistic genius) usually come hand in hand with having a psychological disorder?
>>73290908
>Was this a moment of self-awareness being expressed into art?
how we should know lmao.
>Also, which other artists exhibit behavior indicative of psychologically-labeled "disorders"?
idk lol
>>73290948
no. only retard romanticizing mental illness believe this
Reminder that Pink Floyd aren't prog.
why not faggot
>>73290826
reminder that you and this website don't determine what genre an album is, the artist and audience do. Pink Floyd is Progressive / Psychedelic / Art Rock + Blues / Hard Rock.
>Pink Floyd isn't prog
>implying prog demands excessive instrumentation and display of musical prowess
>misses the subtlety that makes progressive music what it is and can only understand the surface of a piece in terms of the immediate instrumentation.
