So, now that the dust has settled, what did you think about it?
IMHO, it's pretty solid overall, it feels like a really cohesive combination between the sounds of prog-era Pink Floyd and the bitter edygness of Roger Waters lyrics. Not sure if I enjoyed it more than Amused to Death but at the very least it actually feels like an album made out of genuine passion and pessimism, unlike the awful mess The Endless River was.

It's ok, best Waters solo album.
Also people really underrate The Endless River just because it's not as good as prime Pink Floyd and they were expecting some grand ending to PF.
It's still a really great collection of ambient tracks that shouldn't have been released as an album at all.

>It's still a really great collection of ambient tracks that shouldn't have been released as an album at all.
That's very much how I feel about it, desu. There are some genuinely excellent tracks in there but it could as well have just been part of one of those Collector's Edition releases for The Division Bell instead of being exasperatedly marketed as something completely new and unique.

people rate the Endless River accurately because it's fucking boring and there's not a whole lot to appreciate

As for Roger, I just think he's using modern politics to prop up his whole "wake up sheeple" act that hasn't worked since the wall (and even then it's debatable)

What instrument is this? Electric violin? Something layered with a heavily processed harmonica? Help please
Holy shit

This album is secretly fantastic, and some of the best indie pop I've heard in years. Didn't like it much at first, but it's been over a month now and it gets better by the day. The melodies, the lyrics, the dreamy-yet-jagged sound they had. It's not as cutting edge as it used to be, but damn if this isn't a fine album.
What do you think?
>>73322515
It's pretty good, much better than + -
But it's sad knowing that they'll never do anything as good as Frengers or Glass Handed Kites again.

I really like it, considering the guitarrist departure.
A highlight from the Indie prog genre on this year..
Thoughts?
Please respond.
i like them but the lp has too much filter

I mean most cigarettes have filters
ITT Albums that aren't supposed to be scary but scare you/give you bad vibes.
I know this is supposed to be a relaxing ambient/ambient techno album you put on while relaxing or studying but some of these vast soundscapes evoke dread. Makes me imagine vast, dead space in the universe.
makes me laugh and spook

I always thought it was suppose to be like that. It was inspired by dreams anyways. I expect Richard's dreams to be pretty scary.
nah some of that is definitely supposed to be scary dude. much of it.
why is this fgt so pretentious about his msuic? also he was autistic enough to use kek on social media
>At the time of its release, the album received mixed reviews. A critic writing for The A.V. Club dismissed the album and argued that the band had "transformed from a tight, aggressive, smart, political punk band into a dull, meandering punk version of Rush."
Were they fucking HIGH?
Is there any way for me to remove the artwork from the section where it the list of tracks for an album? Also is there any way to get the now playing list beneath the artwork in the right sidebar? thanks

What did they mean by this?
Anarchism must not stop with society - out bodies have been organized - stratified - overcoded. While post capitalist action is of debatable possibility, a post capitalist orientation is necessary to construct ourselves in such a way as to allow a complete positive circuit of desire. Go forth and experiment!

lol wut?
What is this type of music/aesthetic called? Like it's ambient electronic music, but there are hints of educational videos from the late 80's/early 90's (second link), with that particular kind of synthetic music (first link, especially very beginning). Feels like a cousin of vaporwave, but I'm not sure it's quite that.
