What was the worst?

best in terms of energy in socal was deathgrips. its hard to get hipsters hype so that was great. but my favorite concert of all time was Yeah Yeah Yeahs on rooftop pool of cosmopolitan hotel in vegas. it was warm spring night and karen O fucking killed it.

The wonder years were amazing. It was a show full of energy and catharsis, for me at least. I don't know how much other people felt, but I really felt them sad lyrics.

Psych rock, jam band, prog rock, jazz rock
Is this the best jazz album of 2017 so far? Also 2017 jazz albums thread
My favorite so far is Matthias Müller's solo trombone, but I have a bias towards solo and duo formats. Also, Nate Wooley's Complete Syllables Music comp; Alice Coltrane's comp for jazz adjacent; Toxic for trio; Jaimie Branch's Fly Or Die for more straight ahead stuff

>Muller solo
Wow I'd never heard of him, this is great. What other solo/due albums do you know? I personally love small setting improv too

>gustafsson
Haven't actually heard it, but I'm guessing probably not
I'm looking for modern takes on the thick sound of funk.
Some modern artists:
The Motet, The Funk Ark, Bebo Best, Mark Ronson, and Bit Funk.
Sounds I'm looking for:
King Kunta - Kendrick,
Most of Gambino's "Awaken, My Love," Redbone in particular,
Twist My Fingaz - YG (thick bass)
Hair (the musical)
In the end, anything that really bumps and makes you want to endorse free love.
What does /my/ think of Pulp? I just finished listening to His 'N' Hers for the first time, and I'm curious what others think about them. I have never heard them mentioned anywhere.
Have only listened to Different Class but it was great

death grips
>early 2000s hip-hop artist makes a rock hybrid album
>it sucks balls
Why were people so obsessed with rap rock records during this period?
>>73330512
the early 2000s was pretty wack in the hip hop world
heh it doesnt even matter Mos (and Talib Kweli for that matter) peaked on Black Star
>>73330618
Black on both sides was as good.
Mos should have kept the same style instead of going experiemental.

New Danger doesn't suck. I wouldn't say it's genius, but it has some good songs. It's not Speeding Bullet-tier.
hah haaaaaah
yeeeeeeuh
Wuz up wit dayt
my favorite viper alulbm title is "Irish can be niggass too"
this is the best music to listen to on clonazolam
/mu/ I took a break from 4chan and stepped away from the music world and looked back on older music. Recently I came back and installed an amazing subwoofer in my car and wanted to listen to some experimental hip hop, and while Run the Jewels isn't exactly experimental, I remembered they released an album a while back on my birthday. I listened to it today and was late for work because I needed to absorb how good this music is. Please explain to my why Run the Jewels 3 is the single greatest album in the world.
deaf grapes
listen to exmilitary or the money store for car bops
RTJ3 is their best and theyve come a long way since their first s/t
i didn't think they could top 2 but the hype was fulfilled

Is anyone going to EDC this weekend ? Or is it to normie for y'all.
Why is this LP so good?
>>73330234
i mean its the strongest in Cudis discography but its waaaaayyyy too long and its a little too weed/coke lmao at times. its mostly held together by its great features and top notch production, along with the Ye factor. it proves that Cudi cant get his act together without loads of help.
i used to think it was a classic in high school tho, and its still a decent listen
Man on the moon was his best
>>73330234
The production, that's it.
Kid Cudi is a shit lyricist and singer.
Amazing live performances. All genres. Heavy/aggressive styles preferred.
