>second album is darker/more minimalistic, less popular, and more lauded among certain fans than the first album
Oh I love that
>21st century indie/alternative rock band releases a very disappointing second album after a promising debut
Besides Whitehouse and Deathpile
Brighter death now

What are albums I can listen to with only one earbud? Mine are broken and only the right one works. I need albums that don't have shit panned to different sides. Thank you <3
Anything released before 1967 or so, as long as you don't get the stereo version
Holy shit retard just put your audio player on mono
>>73362386
Well, here's the problem. I use spotify, so just almost everything is the stereo version.
>>73362390

if you read any of the story behind the formation of TVU you'd know this isn't true at all. Cale was the *main* brains, but Reed wasn't stupid for sure, they both tuned their instruments to an Indian Drone for one
>>73441475
this is the most correct answer next to the beatles
fucking panned
Mercury is a great song
>>73362201
Why did you make a new thread? You're very stupid, aren't you?

If 4 you've been through the previous ones
>>73362315
If you must ask, you're a 1
What are some albums similar to this? I love this album a lot, desu, and want something in that vain of "singer/songwriter who lost himself in deep emotions while writing this album"
>inb4 other car seat headrest albums
Is any of the Ramones' stuff outside of the most well-known 70s albums worth checking out?
>>73441332
lol no
Yes. Everything after the first 3 is uneven, but they had some great songs throughout their career. My favorite song ever is Bonzo Goes to Bitburg. End of the Century is them doing a big classic pop album, while Too Tough to Die is literally made to cater to 80s hardcore. My recommendation is to go through everything, listen for the great tracks, and don't get bogged down by the throwaways.
End Of The Century, Pleasant Dreams and especially Too Tough To Die are essential.
Animal Boy, Subterranean Jungle, Brain Drain and Mondo Bizarro have their moments.
The rest of their post-70s albums always have at least a couple of genuinely fantastic songs, but are generally quite uneven and messy.
My favorite Ramones song is actually one that they did all the way in the 90s though.

What is /mu/'s verdict on this album?
Discipline and Three of a Perfect Pair are much better in my opinion, but Beat is a good album in it's own right. Neal and Jack and Me & Waiting Man are absolute bangers
