fuark I just started making music and my vocals jsut never seem right and I show it to someone who I know is honest about my work they rate my vocals 7/10 but older stuff I made as trash. Do I ever get use to my voice? any tips for getting use to your own voice?

You have to sound like you mean it. The worst thing a vocal performance can be is unconfident. There are a shitload of singers and rappers who aren't particularly technically gifted but still succeed simply because they don't sound scared of their own voice and ashamed of their lyrics.
