Recently got my Marine Band Classic in the key of A. Need some good harp players to listen to and maybe some tips on playing. Thanks!

Metal has some of the worst songwriting and music that I've ever heard. It's comparable to hip hop in its reliance entirely on rhythm (for its 'riffs' and self indulgent drumming and blastbeats), and it lacks any emotion in its atonal melodies and nonsensical chord progressions. It fails to make one feel anything more than energy, and music's ability to make people feel a variety of emotions is something valued in almost every other worthwhile and respected genre and has been valued for nearly all of real music's history,
How can you be a metal fan and at the same time be a music fan?
>listening to metal for the music
How long ago did you become a nu-male?
What have you been listening to? Is it Megadeth? It sounds like Megadeth. Try some gud m3t4l
>atonal melodies
Most metal is scale based. It is very tonal. Pentatonic/blues for stoner, minor for everything else. Death metal is the only metal genre that is atonal.
>nonsensical chord progressions
Metal isn't based around chord progression due to the fact that distortion makes chords sound incredibly muddy. That's why root fifth power chords are used all the time.
Also there is plenty of emotional metal (dsbm for example, even if edgy) and there is nothing wrong with rhythmic music.
I do agree that there is alot of bland, chugging, unoriginal metal out there though.
Why did they release the same album 7 times?
>>73375619
Because they only had 13 songs

thank you for reminding me that it's about time for my annual "get home drunk but too wired for sleep so i should watch Instrument again" screening.
years ago i would've said mystery but i recently split up the box set into albums and singles, and now i'm starting to think that telepathic love is my favorite. i listened to both the album and the single version and i can't decide which one i like better yet. best wipers song thread

"D-7" to me it sounds like Neil Young & Crazy Horse doing a punk rock song.
So I have an uncle in Ireland who just died in Ireland and I'm going to be visiting to attend his funeral. I will be visiting for 10 days and will be in the Galway area but I will be able to visit Dublin. Are there any cool concerts coming to Dublin or are there any cool music scenes shit to check out or other music relared shit i can do there?
If anyone else is also going on trips and is looking for similar stuff can post in here too I guess.
So, any /mu/tants going tomorrow?
How long have you played your instrument? I just hit ten years today and I'm thinking of finally getting a good guitar.
