I can see it now, some 17 year old is sitting in his room, he just put on his freshly ironed Loveless shirt with the sleeves rolled up (ironically of course), zipped up all his side zippers on his acid washed jeans and brushed the lint off around the rips in the knees, while adjusting his faux-glasses and large black beanie. Black converse shoes looking clean, he knows people will see him in public and remember him and think he's cultured and interesting. He pulls out his phone as Deerhunter is playing off his Sennheiser 558's. New message from Tiffany. "I don't know why Todd gets so angry when I want to spend the day with my girls". He smiles, time to shine. "You don't deserve him, you're the most beautiful, kind, smart and funny girl in the world. You need someone who is mature enough to appreciate you." He opens his browser to find a lyric that describes how deep he is, opens the /mu/ catalog and sees a hip-hop thread. His brow tenses up in disgust, he knows truly cool people wouldn't post in this thread. He sees people joking. He thinks "Hip-hop doesn't get respect by true patricians does it?", he's sure of it. Nobody in here has even broken a Black Ryder album down. "I fucking hate this rap music. It's such utter plebeian shit, it tries way too hard kek". Ethered those little fuckers. He hears his dad yelling for him, "Landon go with your mother to get the oil in her minivan changed". He hits post just in time as he runs down the stairs.
God, this board is a joke.

Is buying this worth it, /mu/? I've never owned a quality music player before, and this was recommended to me. It's kinda expensive, but if it's worth it I don't mind spending the money.
I only got one response when I asked in /hpg/, so I'm asking here.
please
I really don't know anything about the fiio but isn't it easier to just subscribe to a streaming service and have albums they don't host on your phone? If you've got a huge library already compiled that's got a lot of stuff those services don't have I could kind of see it but streaming has kind of killed the need for a whole nother device just for music.

I don't really have a good phone at the moment, and I do tend to have a lot of stuff that isn't on streaming services.
I'm only 19, and our family tends to go on a lot of car rides and camping trips, so I doubt cell reception would be consistent anyway.

yes 2.0, atleast you can play an instrument
stoked to listen, trading basics rocks
Saw them a few years ago in Providence
They're ok but like every indie band whose PR tries to force them as "the next big thing", ok is all they are.
>But you blew my mind
name a bigger moment in an album
HE BLEW HIS MIND OUT IN A CAR

They pissed all over Bowie in the 70s. Superb album.

She is just wrapping up a short tour playing old Helium tunes to go along with the vinyl re-release of their records, and is playing with Ex Hex later this Summer.
