What did you think?
i like it, i think if i had a tail is my favourite track
Their best since rated R, the music videos were cool.
Should have just ended the album with I appear missing tho
Their third best album, behind SFTD and Rated R. QOTSA are their best when they rock the fuck out.
2 jazz-folk artists.
Van Morrison - Astral Weeks?
Or
Tim Buckley - Happy Sad?
You decide.

I tried astral weeks last night and I don't know if it needs a couple more listens, but it just sounds like everyone's off in their own world just noodling away on the same shit they've been playing for years. Maybe it was the version or something, but I don't get how that's suppose to be even close Happy Sad.
Did I accidentally get a live version, or is the entire band just not tight at all and doesn't care on that album?

I understand how it can feel like that at first... but I think you just aren't 'getting' it. Like, I cried to it first time I listened and I've not really ever done that before. It's the impressionism and progression that's a big part of it. Buckley's progressions are actually pretty standard and almost rock-like, whereas Morrison is much more folk-y and his voice is just.... so soulful

No, I think it might be because I'm using headphones to listen to it and it's recorded differently (badly?)
Am I a pleb if I think Let's Go Away for Awhile and Pet Sounds are the best tracks?
I'd agree on part one but you can't deny how good God Only Knows is
>>73438072
The former is excellent, the latter is okay.
I know you guys like to hate on Mike but he did an amazing job on Here Today.
Driving on the highway and this guy blocks your path
What do?

Don't accelerate, he'll fuck you up
What do you think, /mu/?
How do you deal with the fact that almost everyone in your life will have an inferior taste in music?
The chances of you finding a woman who actually listens to good music is so slim you have to consider it a win when she says she likes dadrock or some flavor of the month indie band.
I've met tons of girls who have better taste than most people on /mu/. I live in an artist community though.

>imagine dream pop entering the mainstream, the top40 full of songs like wild and other people
no then the water down will get worse

Beach House are the most normie approved indie band tho. They may not be top 40, but the few normie friends I had liked them. Plus I've heard Beach House playing in a number of stores over the years.
Are we hyped for this? Solo album by the drummer of Deerhunter. The track released so far is really good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNCfskldOis
well I'm hyped :c
I am. Loved his cassette for geographic north a couple years ago so I'm excited. I like his production more than his voice though
>2 posters
anyways I like geo north's stuff most the time and liked his mix with sweet surrender on it.
I've listened to the song you posted and I like the groove of it. His vocals kinda remind me of R.E.M. but they sound a bit goofy, that's the thing that throws me off about the song.
1200 micrograms is his best project
>>73437779
The Infinity Project says no.
the intro of the tracks in the s/t are so cool
>>73437779
1200 micrograms is quite a lot.
