Does anyone find that rappers in general are way more inconsistent than artists in other genres? I can't think of a single rapper with a discography of only great albums. Who is the Death of hip hop?

As of recent years, I've started to get more into really chill beats, specifically ambient. I've already found some good bands, like sad souls and apeiron (cloud speed is one of my most absolute favorite songs) but I was wondering based off the bands I just listened, are there any other good ambient bands I can find?

Newfag here. Just finished listening to the Pavement holy trinity. Was surprised to see that Wowie Zowie got the most mixed reception from critics. At least after a first listen, it was my favorite of Slanted and Enchanted and Crooked Rain.
Pavement thread? Are their other albums worth listening to, and what was I missing on their other two albums? They didn't make nearly as much of an impact on me as Wowie Zowie.
